Description of the incident:
Hello All,
I hope you are well and are enjoying time with your families.
Round: 31600
Accused: Elder Mal’rah Loxzil
Issue: Poor sportsmanship; lack of RP engagement
Context: John Fyre was injured, unarmed, and posed no threat
Action Taken by Accused: Immediate kill, plasmacast, decapitation without RP
Violation: Predator Honor Code, Spirit of Whitelist (prey should be deadly)
Impact: Encounter was uninteresting, lacked skill, and reflected poorly on the Predator role
During round 31600, “Elder Mal’rah Loxzil” engaged in behavior, which, while I believe to be in poor form, did not constitute a report. Nonetheless, I have been persuaded otherwise by a handful of others to file one. The chief complaint was that of poor sportsmanship. I (surgeonaa2), playing John Fyre, had neither a weapon nor armor at the time of the encounter with the predator. While RPing with another marine, we were looking for a flare to light our smokes. We encountered the accused standing motionless. Having no recourse to combat, given my injured state and lack of equipment, I engaged in RP with the humanoid. Given the lighting conditions, I offered the man in the darkness a smoke. At which point the accused killed me, then plasmacasted the other marine and promptly decapitated me. At no point did the accused engage with any form of RP other than combat engagement. At no point was I able to flee or mount any defense. I do believe the accused did knowingly and willingly engage despite the lack of any actual or perceived threat to itself. At no point during the engagement would I have had any ability to cause meaningful damage to the accused. As a whole, I found this to be a disappointing RP encounter, and it was neither unique nor interesting, and added little to the round. At no point did I feel there was any demonstration of skill, of either combat or RP. Finally, I believe this reflected poorly upon other predators, of whom I have had otherwise engaging encounters. To reference the Predator Honor Code document, “Prey, to the Yautja, are non-Yautja creatures which are deadly (…)”
Thank you for your time,
