Description of the incident:

I got into req through a broken window seeing a lot of random piles of money on the floor, likely from the CL, so I figured no one would care if I took one. shortly after, the Warden (brygun) randomly tried to tase me without announcing my arrest, I was situated on the other side of the ASRS lift from him, it was currently down so his taser shots all missed, he resorted to flashbangs to actually incapacitate me.

After this, I was cuffed and thrown into a fucking wall, I told the CMP about this over the radio, and the warden’s response was to strip me of my headset. After I was taken out of req, I could hear the CMP over the radio asking the warden what was going on, who told him nothing until we literally ran into him. I was then pepper sprayed while being carried for “trying to break out”, even though this can be prevented by just moving the prisoner.

The idiocy carried over into brig, where after being processed, he delayed removing my handcuffs and giving me yard access with the remark “Only if you behave”. I then requested my appeal to the XO as is my right, to which the warden responded “It’s not your choice, the CMP will answer it”. Thankfully, the CMP honored my rights and requested the Captain to the brig to handle the appeal. Throughout the appeal the warden admitted to bandaging me, which wouldn’t have been needed with a flashbang or taser shots, basically proving that I was harmed. I put in my Provost appeal that I was pressing charges against the warden for Assault, NoD, FTFP, and Misuse of Authority.

This is the reason MPs get so much hate, because of blatant abuse like this. The CMP was very lax on the transgressions of the warden, saying “We need to have a small talk about excessive force”. I myself am a Plat CMP (I know I need to touch grass) and in this situation, the warden would’ve been demoted and brigged when sufficient evidence proved that he abused his position and assaulted a prisoner, absolutely no question.

Some people might just say “cope” or “you deserved it”, but what happened isn’t excusable.

Evidence:

Requesting Logs, recommended by Biolock in admin PMs, who also said that the round couldn’t be delayed to handle the issue.

Fair warning I was EXTREMELY rude to the warden throughout this encounter, most of which took place once I realized Brygun didn’t really care about procedure or Marine Law. I shouldn’t have been nearly as angry and said some nasty things I’m prepared to apologize for, but during the moment it felt like a complete pile of bullshit, so sorry in advance.

At the round start it was a very small population with myself as the only MP (at that point) and ZERO req. So I warned people on the ship comms to take it easy. I was setup by the CO to run req.

I was there when the glass was broken and found him. Also grabbed his prints.

This twit decided to break into where… tada… i ALREADY am… and he gets arrested. Yeah… considering he was screwing ALL the REQ for >everyone< at mission start… which I believe there is also a server rule against being really disruptive at game start…

Real life training on dealing with potential outrbreaks is to deal with the first to cross the line roughly. Literally and actual part of my real life training for similiar roles.

I even had to hold onto him as taking him to the brig (SOP) would also mean shutting down the REQ of the game start thus wrecking >everyone< game start.

A short time later, like 1-2 min, as many laughed at him an RO did wake up and took over so I took him to the brig.

CMP and I processed him and CMP and Warden (me) had a chat out of his sight because of course we wouldnt have the prisoner around then.

Whining like this on the forum has lowered my opinion of him further.

Query on whether in addition to his confessed breach of marine law did he break server rules by trying to screw up >everyone’s< round start by mucking with the only Req person?

Really disappointed in him for that part.

In the process of someone commiting a crime stopping htem is a good idea and about that time saying “under arrest” its a hot key I have.

Arresting a Suspect

  1. Inform the Suspect he is under arrest.
  2. Take down the Suspect if he resists and securely restrain him.
  3. Move the Suspect to the Brig.
  4. Inform the Suspect of his Charges before the brig timer starts.
  5. Inform the Suspect he may file an appeal should he wish so.

  • I was not aware you were there, I do not go out of my way to find everyone’s location.
  • Going into a seemingly empty req to pick up a misplaced pile of money while harming no one or destroying crucial mission equipment does not sound like a disruption.
  • You, as an MP, have the ability to ignore minor crimes, I had trespassed into req, you could’ve asked me to leave or issued an NJP. You and only you went out of your way to arrest me.

  • ASRS pit ate all your taser shots (you hate to see it).

  • Rails were up, I would have to go out of my way to jump in (I like living).
  • I was delaying a seemingly rogue MP from unlawfully arresting me.

Stopping the commission of the crime matters

Being the criminal confessed to the crime and was caught in situ its really just him wanting to setup to “do whatever” in the future

DTGP = breaking the window, clearly suspect and fully confirmed by the fingerprints
Trespassing = being where you were not authorized… as I was as aRO the one you would have needed permission from.
Resisting = evading and trying to break cuffs

You screwed up trying to do a crime right at the MPs.

How many people were laughing at you? It was you they were laughing at.

Hello Syndro and others,

Apologies for the long wait. After reviewing the evidence of this report. Brygun has indeed been found to have violated Rule 11: Marine Law, Mutinies | Mandatory Obedience.

Members of the military police, are bound to marine law and standard operating procedures by server rules. As such, an officer must alert someone that they are being arrested before carrying out the arrest, may not assault detainees, and also may not use riot tools (flashbangs) to deal with a singular unruly marine.
