Synthetic Info:
Name of the Synth Character you wish to play:
Mitch
Provide a short description of your synthetic’s backstory
Mitch is a third generation synthetic manufactured and produced by Weyland-Yutani Corporation, with his primary purpose being labor work, specifically centered around welding and/or other metalworking positions. His model served in several workshops and factories fabricating products made out of metal, such as tables, racks, tools, and so on.
Describe your synth’s personality without mentioning their skills or previous professions
Mitch is usually seen as a cheerful with a positive attitude, tending to compliment crew members, encourage them and chitchat with personnel whenever the situation fits it. He takes personal preference to magazines and comic books, often sharing them with others, as well as talking about what he reads. His mood is usually energetic and carefree, happily performing his day-to-day duties and other tasks, with a smile on his face!
How would your synthetic interact with enlisted personnel, officers and civilians? How could you involve your personality into these interactions?
He would refer to civilians by ‘Mister’ or ‘Miss’, His cheerful personality would still apply to civilians, enlisted and officers.
Towards enlisted, he would use their rank, commonly followed by their surname. He would try to chat with the enlisted to improve relations and lighten the atmosphere overall.
With officers, he’ll use either only their rank, or the rank followed by the officer’s surname. He would limit chats depending on the situation, but their energetic and happy mood would still persist.
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
I took interest in the synthetic WL a bit ago, dating back to the WL event and even a bit before that. I started putting in effort after seeing the potential for roleplay and gameplay that the whitelist could provide, both with content and the roles provided.
What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?
Synthetic Character Story:
Skills:
How familiar are you in CMs support roles such as medical/engineering/requisitions/command and which of them are you more and less proficient in?
Requisition and medical are the two departments I’m the most skilled with. Engineering is JUST below those two. I understand how to fix APCs and build barricades, but I still struggle with barricading certain LZs on some maps. Command is the least proficient for me, but in my time as SEA and sometimes XO/SO, I understand how the terminals and other mechanics work in CIC.
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
Scenario one - Delta alert, hijack. During hijack, which is one of the examples for Delta alert, you can attack the threat, but you can’t neglect the crew or other duties, like medical or those in need of other help. For example, you’re chasing a xenomorph, and you run into a team of injured marines. In this case you should stop the pursuit and assist the marines.
Scenario two - Frontline. On the frontlines, the self preservation programming is essential to the synthetic to prevent the loss of the unit, this makes medical treatment and providing safety to others priority. An example is instead of engaging contacts at friendly fortifications, they need to continue providing aid and call out the contacts if marines did not yet notice the attack. They can however drag xenomorphs a tile or so back to prevent them from melting barricades, if marines aren’t already attempting to stop the acid spewing xenomorph.
Scenario three - Backline. While the synthetic unit is moving through the backline, specifically in a group of 2-3 marines, they are still allowed to defend themselves, provided assistance from marines around the unit is not effective enough or has not yet arrived. During the protection of wounded, any invasion of personal space is deemed as a hostile action. Even then the unit should not chase the aggressor, as protection and deterrence is key, as the unit is meant to remain with the marines.
Scenario four - Synthetic Survivor. Before an ERT arrives, in this case being marines, the synthetic unit is under Delta alert circumstances, as being left stranded without rescue qualifies as such circumstance. When the synthvivor engages in combat, they should ensure the threat to them, human colonists or other infrastructure is disabled. This does not mean the unit is allowed to chase them down across the colony though, because then you aren’t looking after your own self preservation and that of colonists or the infrastructure. The unit is holding with the survivors, and one colonist is being harassed outside of the barricades, this allows the synthetic to deter the threat within reason and their own preservation, even chasing them down for a small bit while remaining in sight of the other survivors.
