The argument to keep ledges in the game

I and many other people dislike ledges as they currently are, and I’m wondering - is there actually any good reason why we should keep them in the game, beyond visually? If you guys have any ideas, let me know

I don’t understand, if anything, it serves to make RP worse by being mechanically tough to maneuver around, i mean, once you click you can effortlessly climb up it in about a second but in bad conditions it will take you several to drag your mouse up over / onto it where a real person would not even pause

For what it worth, ledges actually make it so terrain somewhat matters. You can get tactical advantage or disadvantage because of them.

shooting on ledges should give your target more damage, especially if you’re scoped & have a bipod deployed… :true:

Ledge combat is skill based combat (except for invisible handrails)

i like it, so long as they dont take forever to leap over.

the idea of ledges is fine but god are they awfully coded. you can’t pull people over them unless you’re on the same side, they make resin building turn into rng in a 3x3 radius, and melee over them is rng.
