The Blatant Marine Bias in CM, Let's Talk About It

Now lets treat this shitpost with all due seriousness.

AnCopper part of the issue as to why it SEEMS like Marines are heavy bias towards is due to the nature of the of the asymmetrical gameplay. Marines have so many tools at their disposal that seem like they get all the cookies and the xenos are left with the crumbs…which i mean… is not really wrong but the issue lay not in marine bias but a issue with how the asymmetrical gameplay pans out when you ADD to the xenos.

I did whole thing about the how this asymmetry afffects low pop The dichotomy of Low Vs High pop and the knock effects of attritional losses yes i know its bunch of salad.

But anyhow Xeno by and large do better on low pop due to how the asymmetry is interacting with the affects of low pop. You see Xenos at their base line are much stronger then Humans, they are very tanky and are able to heal at rapid rate. On the other hand USCM have a much greater ability to dish out damage, but are squishy but can do black magic(Defibing).

ISSUE is at least when talking about this matter is the fact that For the shear amount of damage the USCM can dish out… its also damage that knows no master, shitty Demo? welp they just Gibbed a lad and frag the whole damn front line.

GP who doesn’t know left from right offsets? GOOD HITS! Half of the USCM front line is just cooked. FLT or SL don’t know how to judge the amount of space needed for safe OB? welp you got danger close and 1/4 of the front are now cooking in white fire or being tossed around like a rag doll by cluster. USCM are dealing with a double-edged sword, one fuck up can and will melt the front line… leading to a wipe out. That’s is if the xenos are smart about hiting them with the follow up, that is.

Just about every thing the Marines get can and will bit them in the rear end if they fumble… what’s more its going to take not just YOU out but every one around you as well. But if you look over at the Xenos end of things the biggist issue you have to deal with is getting body blocked by that one Beno that had a tad to much to Froot and now got that fluoride stare.

As a xeno you don’t really got to deal with much if any negative impacts of the tools given to you. (other then maybe horrid hivelord mazes) Whats more most tools given to the xenos are in the same vain. This means that any tool xenos get can be used with little fear of negative repercussions other then perhaps the issue of lost opportunity cost.

This in the end makes balancing any tool given to the xenos a bit hard, at least with the marines if you give them fancy new thing… they are likely going to shoot themselves in the foot half the time causing the over all value to be diminish.

basely what i am trying to say is that when you give things to xenos due how the asymmetrical gameplay is it most the time it give disproportionate value, where as when you give things to Marines it tends to have high maximum value but also having very Low minimal value.

anyhow thanks for coming to my ramblings.
