If you said yes to any of the following questions, you’re in luck! Thanks to the Research Rework, we now have a brand new way to REVIVE MARINES without using silly epinephrine.

By utilizing the new chemical derived from mutated poppies, ATROPINE, we gain access to a higher dimension of medical care.

First off, the benefits. Why use Atropine in the first place? Because it has Electrogenetic 7. Electrogenetic 7 means if it’s in a body upon it being defibrillated, that body will heal 70 BRUTE, BURN, and TOXIN on top of a Defibrillator’s innate healing abilities. This is 3.5 times better than Epinephrine, which only has Electrogenetic 2. With proper kitting and medical attention, you can nearly guarantee a full heal immediately following a defibrillation.

BUT BE WARNED, WEARY TRAVELLER! FOR THERE ARE RISKS TO THIS GREAT POWER!

Atropine ALSO possesses brain killing properties. If a human processes more than 4 units of Atropine, they will suffer so much brain damage as to have broken it. This is of course easily mendable via IA, but it’s unnecessary hurt. But how do we avoid this?

THE POWER OF DILUTION, THAT’S HOW.

By carefully adjusting a Hypospray to inject chemicals 3 units at a time, and pouring in a mixture of 1 atropine for every 2 units water, you can create a ten use magic defibrillation hypospray. Simply carry refills for your hypospray in some sort of beaker or smart refill tank, and you’ll have a revival mix that packs a lot more punch than any combination of epinephrine, tricordazine, and dexalin ever could.

BE WARNED. IF EPINEPHRINE AND ATROPINE ARE BOTH IN THE SYSTEM UPON DEFIBRILLATION, THE BODY WILL CONSUME WHICHEVER CHEMICAL WAS INJECTED FIRST.

But how do we get our hands on this juicy opium healing chem? Through harassing our good friends the RnD staff of the USS Almayer.

By planting poppy seeds and gently dosing them with unstable mutagen and radium, you have a chance to create ATROPINE PRODUCING POPPIES. You merely then need to heavily irradiate your Atropine Poppy with Diethylamine and Ammonia to increase its yield and potancy, and voila! Mountains of Atropine for your Corpsman to use.

Thus, you have now created your new turbo defibrillation equipment, and are ready to wake marines the hell up.

As someone who used this in a round I can confirm that all of my marines were addicted to opium after reviving them, 10\10 would make drugs and never use pressure pouch again.

This may very well be the thing that pulls me back from my prolonged break from CM, and if it does, I will gladly see to it that this does not go unnerfed for more than two weeks :blush:

Rambling

You can take this even further. While processing EGN does indeed consume exactly one (1) unit of the chemical, it does not check to see if there is a full unit present before triggering this effect. You also don’t have to worry about reagent metabolization since the entire point of EGN is to be used in dead bodies–which prevents most chemicals from processing.

This means that you can safely use *decimal *point values of the EGN chemical in your mix.

My long term mix is measured to only use 0.8u of Epinephrine per injection.

Also, since the entire chemical is processed before revival, they shouldn’t take any–or at the very least, one singular tick–of the base brain damage effect. Meaning that there is absolutely zero downside here.

I must take any opportunity I have to restart the opium wars as a brit.

When are they adding the PR that let’s us make HEAP using complete disregard for labour laws and child labour is the question, as per my sovereign right as a decendant of the industrial revolution? I enjoy this new direction of CM.
