discord is used to filter people who insult metafriends of admins away from whitelists and other “useful” stuff such as FUCKING RULE CLARIFICATIONS
by the way, rule clarifications don’t exist, and haven’t been on discord for years. if they ever came back they’d be here
this thread is a giant jebait, the OP is a bad faith actor false flagging the discord for non-existent issues
I think the stuff I’m saying is true, and if anybody disagrees I’d love to actually hear why. I think I posted enough examples to show that I’m not the only person here with these, or similar issues
Everybody seems to think this is just a bitch thread though so it seems I’m out of luck
And i have no clue how to quote link here, but @Copper-Wilson
When you come back to a game after a long time you can’t exactly magically reach out to people lol.
Not to mention thats a very convoluted method, and not exactly an official communication channel.
I don’t think the forum messages which you hear about at the end of a 10 minute tutorial after 5 threads on the forums is self evident either.
If you have used these solutions and they worked for you I’d love to hear it but currently on this thread there’s only one person who seems to have ever used the forum messaging functionality and they mention having a poor experience with it
I have used the messaging system exactly once, and only in response to someone messaging me first. I know about it. I assume the majority of people who bothered with the tutorial know about it. No one uses it. Why? Because it’s a forum, and if I want to DM someone it’s easier for both me and the other person to just do it on discord, rather than a forum most people check once every new moon.
I don’t see an issue, really. The people who you’d need to contact for shit are the staff who check the forums regularly anyways. If you’re banned from discord, other avenues of communication exist. I mean hell, you could just DM the staff members provided you have their discord contact details. The other avenues are substandard and not ideal, but they work.
That’s a fair point. I think that the solutions to these issues are minor enough however, and therefore easy to implement, yet would have decent impact on many people.
It’s an easy fix, so I think it may as well be worth doing. It would also greatly reduce the amount of threads complaining about an autoban.
No, if you get banned on the Discord, you’re banned from it. You lose the right to access that part of the community. This whole topic is a non-issue.
You list a bunch of stuff that requires contacting Management, but the forum is designed for all that. We have forms for literally all of these issues.
