Behavior involving Misconduct
Description of the incident:
Well, I believe the way to approach this is with a staff report hoping the perspective of the staff team on this enforcement changes.
While I am reporting the events that occurred on 29055, this is something that stems across every round. The Staff Team is endorsing and even encouraging behaviors from some xenomorphs (thankfully, a minority) that I can’t find words to define other than utterly trash.
I ahelped PSY (a xenomorph) for afking until minute 22 in hive and taking a T2 slot then continuing to AFK until marines arrived. I ordered PSY to move out of the hive but he refused. Knowing that the staff team may find an issue with me banishing them over that, I ahelped it first, and Nessie told me that “it’s okay for xenos to AFK at hive for 25 minutes until marine arrival” and that “I dont’ get to decide who deserves getting T2.”
Additionally, this caused massive uproar in the hive when they noticed what was going on, and they demanded me to do something about it as Queen, however since Nessie had told me to not banish or devolve for that, I couldn’t do anything.
How does it make sense that, with how limited xenomorphs slots are especially at roundstart, admins are endorsing and encouraging people to AFK? What if all xenomorphs were to just sleep at hive and do nothing until the arrival of marines? When I asked this question Nessie said she didn’t want to entertain “what ifs”.
This needs to stop, Nessie and many other admins are blatantly disregarding Rule 8:
Rule 8: Use your Slot
You are expected to use your slot, and act appropriately as your role. Every role has a function, and the player taking the role is expected to fulfill it. If you have work to do that your job is expected to do, ignoring it to engage in other tasks violates this rule. Furthermore, wasting your slot - such as by suicide or logging out inappropriately - is punishable as you are removing a slot another player could be playing as correctly.
When a Xenomorph is AFK at hive for 20 MINUTES, disregarding everything that there is to do, they are breaking this rule. But honestly, it feels like admins just care about marines being active, and encourage xenomorphs to be AFK. There is a lot
There’s a ton of stuff to do before marine arrival. There are survivors to hunt, weeds to plant, walls to build, windows, APCs and lights to destroy, items to melt. The endorsement of xenoafk needs to stop.
Don’t you guys understand how and why almost every other xenomorph will get upset if a xeno AFKs for 22 minutes at hive, while they are doing stuff like planting weeds, melting items, breaking lights, APCs and window frames… and then they come and take one of the very limited T2 slots after having done nothing throughout the whole roundstart?
If I was a marine in a position other than rifleman deciding to AFK at the canteen and refusing to deploy for no apparent reason, I’d 100% get cooked.
Evidence:
N/A, I didn’t get logs, but I don’t feel like they are needed, you can check them though, all xenomorphs were super upset in hivemind that PSY AFKd for 22 minutes and stole a T2 slot.
