Enforcement Action Taken

Description of the incident:

On the aforementioned round, I was the GP, and we didn’t have a DP. The Queen rushed the Alamo and locked it, so I got authorized by CO & XO to paradrop down to fix it. I had been running CAS all round log as the logs can show if looked into it, and only at the very end of the round, after I paradropped and fixed the Alamo, moving on the Major after an announcement said to, given I was there and there was nothing else for me to do.

I explained all of this to the staff, who put an unfair note on my record, omitting ALL the context of me being authorized to paradrop etc etc. I should not have a note to begin with, but even less I should get a note that is omitting so many fact is almost malicious.

End of the day, using your slot is about playing it. With 2 xenos left on the run CAS was going to be worthless, so I get noted for not sitting on the FOB to AFK while the round ends? I even ran out of DS points doing so much CAS, how do I deserve a note for “Not using my slot”?

Howdy, I was the one who noted you.

My reasoning was quite simple, You were authorized to deploy, but you were only ordered to fix the alamo. After that it would be reasonable to return back shipside and resume your duties as being a gunship pilot.

What you did, instead. Was after deploying, you then actively sought out the front line as a GP, running outside of fob(alone for the most part, as far as I am aware mind you) into battle zone. I ruled using your slot, because you were authorized, so it wouldn’t fall under role play expectations, but rather using your slot, as seeking out the front line, was not in your expected duties as a GP rather, you duties are to attend the Normandy.

Hello. I have reviewed the note and ticket in regards to this incident. There is no staff misconduct in this case. The note is correct. You were authorized to deploy to the FOB (per the RULES, shipside roles may deploy under exceptional circumstances, and repairing the dropship is one of them). However, you then decided to follow the XO’s orders to push, which were not meant for you. Even if they were, under no circumstance should a shipside role be going to the frontlines, especially to fight. As for why you didn’t ride the Alamo back up after fixing it, I am not certain, but you probably should have done that. Staff report denied.
