Why do you wish to become a Fax Responder?

Faxes have always been one of my favorite parts of CM. I always enjoy describing what’s happening on the Almayer or groundside. Unfortunately, half of the time nobody would respond because no moderators or admins were on. If I get accepted, I will be able to respond to those people who are hoping for a bit of roleplay, and for me, that’s really fun.

I enjoy making faxes and doing in-game paperwork. I even made my own templates for myself when sending papers. I also love reading faxes that other people send, they are always unique and a blast to read through.

I’m mostly an observer, so this “sit and watch” job would do great for me.

What do you consider the purpose of this role?

Personally, I think its to give the CL and the survivors something to do after getting back up from groundside, but also to respond to questions as HC and handle appeals as Provost. It’s always sad to see people stuck in perma because no admins are on to respond to an appeal or CLs and survivors sitting in an office doing nothing for 2 hours, and I think this role is to solve that.

Same question I asked the others. Per the rules of the WL, you may only call the Almayer under EXCEPTIONAL circumstances What would you define that as?

As the WY responder i would only call the CL if they have no idea what they’re doing or how to send faxes. As for HC and Provost i see no reason to call them unless, again, the person is new to the game and needs some explaining (Mostly how to do appeals and how to make a proper appeal form.)

For the CL, I would say taking chemicals or xenomorph bodies from research or even bugging a certain area is a great objective. But if the liaison has survivor guards and is able to head planetside, I would say a good task would be to receive the black box from the colony or even get the colony dirt by using the E-Tool. (Thank you, Paul Tingus III).

As for the CC there’s much less to give them, as the only thing of interest is to get a story out and get popular. Therefore, I would give them the task of getting specific images of alive xenomorphs or places on the map and maybe even a survivor interview.

It’s worth nothing here that removing intel from research can be damaging to the marines.
