Turn the volume down in the preferences tab.

Bruh.
My volume IS low, these things are just so loud in comparision that if i lowered the volume to make them bearable I wouldn’t be able to hear the game. The only way to fix this is with a sound equalizer, which isn’t really worth doing, or muting my game while these things happen, which is annoying.

nah bro even the cluster OB is quieter than the CAS neurotoxin sound
You can just turn off your sound, as nice side effect makes your unga-rating rise skyhigh cause you cannot hear the queen or that your hellpush is about to get CASed.

I played the game without sound for 2 months when my headphones broke, it’s not that bad actually.

Hearing all the minor sounds don’t make you robust, just tone it down.

Sounds should be normalized so nothing is particularly loud or quiet compared to any other sounds.
I definitely agree with the OP that a number of sounds in the game could do with some tweaking.
