Weirdly enough I don’t think I can become a whitelist. Do you feel forced to have a quirk?

While i do like good gimmick i am the same thought as PWNRA
The but don’t think ‘wacky’ right term like the rest i would better say quirk would be better to put it.
like for example my alt-main Jed ‘The burglar’ Liora is as the name implies is a burglar, he is a bit of a thieving rat and had history with gang life. Now is always nicking other peoples stuff? no, not all the time, but he does like executive selects cigs and he will go out of his way to get a pack.
he also suffered from mild case of brain damage, leaving his eyes in almost permanently dilated. this makes him sensitive to light so he is always wearing sunglasses. but only every play him on tech rolls…
although its not always seen talking with him, His quirks will always lead to certain style. rarely will jed not be wearing his shades but being tech he needs some welding goggles or a welding mask. but as he needs his shades, so he will just put the goggles in his pact until needed.
also with his thieving nature he will nick things from the colony, meaning at time you will just see the OT workshop filled with colony guns if i am playing OT some times. he sees free loot he takes it. or if i am playing him as comtech and if i got the time he will drag a cig vender to fob to get his fix of the executive selects.
Jed is not really a ‘wacky’ character just a former gangster who old live leaving him a few quirks. now some of the more in fact wacky character are also good as it gives them a style even if you are not always dealing with the gimmick.
well for one thing i tend to get more weariness from req and the medbay. when i play ASO and am the aCO i many times get CLs or SL leaders taken a bit aback and questioning if should be leading the OP.
MPs have a seeming inherent miss trust of me. although my thieving happens on bluemoon if i am playing with MPs that have had to deal with it before they tend to give me more snide.
