real talk is that this has been a slow burn due to the declining quality of management decisions, including the refusal to readmit the US flag back into the game for iwo jima, which is admittedly a small thing, but compounds over times to things like the attempt to ban vietnam references. i’ve been around for a while and seen a lot of shit in this game but it also feels like the communication with the playerbase is at an all time low with the dissonance between developers / staff and players, forcing unwanted / unpopular changes.
