What are you reporting?:

Enforcement Action Taken

Description of the incident:

Myself and two other nurses were attempting to examine an injured marine in the medbay who immediately got to his feet and made for the door. Upon him exiting the room and being body blocked he began to attack myself and other medical staff with his fists and was moving in what i interrupted as a circle motion around us to try and dodge our attempts to tackle him (which was noted as him fleeing, however I did not interrupt it that way) while also continuing to strike back at us. After the melee moved a few tiles to the East, the marine pulled a firearm while still in what I interrupted as the midst of the melee which lead to me giving them an inapprovaline OD to stop them from firing on us, which is what I interrupted in that split second that he was doing.

I should also note that I do not think that the moderator involved or any of the players involved acted with malice, but I do feel that the moderation action taken was improper.

Evidence:

The rules state “Do not attack another player without a legitimate, explainable roleplay reason that could be applied in a similar, real-life scenario.” I feel that the actions taken could be applied in a similar real life scenarios (which I can provide sources for need be) and that it was reasonable for my character to fear for their life and use a means of self defense on-par with an inapprovaline overdose sedation. The rules are very confusingly written on what constitutes the use of lethal weapons and I feel that someone brandishing a rifle right after attacking you in a threating manner consistent with intent to harm you constitutes an escalation to lethal force.

I don’t see any wrongdoing by Nessie in this instance. You overdosed a guy who was trying to get away from you.

You were warned previously that you can’t overdose people without appropriate escalation.

Resolved, denied.
