Description of the incident:

I wake up 24 minutes into the round as the only MP (CMP). I see that my office has been broken into, items stolen from the CMP locker and the room modified with windows instead of reinforced walls. Already suspecting it was either of the 2 accused. I attempt to arrest Caden Thomas upon getting reports that he assaulted a nurse from the CMO.

Due to being the only MP and Caden running around with no armour, I get an SOP changed by the CO allowing me to chase him without armour. After awhile I ended up detaining him. I find most of the gear stolen from the brig and when I am attempting to process him. Grant Thomas breaks into the brig and immediately stunbatons me and cable ties me.

Caden Thomas then takes my ID and bucklecuffs me into a chair. I spend the beginning of hijack without an ID and bucklecuffed into a chair stuck in the brig. Fortunately the Major found my ID and gave it to me, or it could have ended worse for me. Considering they were breaking into the brig and stealing gear early into the round, modifying the CMPs office and messing with the only MP avaliable when they wake up, I honestly believe this to just be griefing.

Hello, i was Grant Thomas in this situation, i want to start of by saying sorry, mainly because, the tomfoolery i do or with others are not meant to be taken as grief, but something to spice up the round for MPs or Members of command, roles that mostly dont get that much action.

what we were doing before you and any other MP woke up was, replacing some walls with window frames with windows in them ( most of the walls in the CMPs office and some in the execution room), and i took a spare headset and its keys and a pepperspray, non-crucial items for a CMP, who already wakes up with a full set of MP gear, and, pepperspray, Caden from what i saw took a beret.
we then watched you for a while on the cams, laughing a bit at your speechlessness of you finding your office fully changed, i then rememberd that i welded without goggles on, so i requested a doctor at medical bay, where Caden assaulted a doctor for not treating me.

caden was then arrested so i sprung into action on freeing them, my fellow MT brother and relative.
I do not feel that stunproding an MP and cuffing them to be grief when its a friend/relative they have cuffed and when you are involved in the crime they comited to end up in brig, i have also seen this happen before, and been a part of it, both to lone MPs and while multiple MPs have been awake and there has never been an issue with it (minus the ID stealing part).

I did not tell Caden to grab your ID, or buckle you to a chair, however i do not think they meant to grief, as their items were locked behind a door, and i do belive their tools too, that was locked with MP clerance, they were clearly panicked as you had alerted command, and the CO about the jailbreak (somone who can BE), so they ran with your ID, truh perma brig as they bumped into the CE at the entrance of brig, to medical bay, and when hijack happend, booked it to a pod where i happend to be in. (keep in mind i wasnt there and left as soon as i freed caden)

at the end of the round, we were under the impression that you liked our tomfoolery (we didnt hear any complaining in LOOC or IC).

The wall frame replacing I found hilarious, especially the one on my toilet, though I don’t appreciate waking up to the brig already fucked with, with no MPs being on. You blocking me from making the initial arrest when I first found Caden was annoying but I ignored that and had no plans to detain you. I knew you were working together hence me ignoring your attempts to “help” on comms. Understand, whilst I appreciate you giving me shit to do as MP saving me from boredom, what you did that round was a series of fuckery on my end to solve. You know I normally keep IC situation IC, and handle things with arrests/NJPs and so forth.

You breaking into the brig and targeting the sole MP with a stun prod was not a fun experience, especially as I sat bucklecuffed until the CE uncuffed me.

I’ve only got 2 things that are relevant:

The CMP would never have gotten his ID back if not for Grant saying where it was, where I retrieved it as hijack had begun.

Grant is right that I was coming to the brig around the time it was taken, and I absolutely would’ve just shot them both if I walked into a jailbreak with my CMP tied up.

First of all, I am terribly sorry that you had to endure this planned grief the whole round without any administrative action.

I read the logs and I saw that Rule 4 was broken because Grant Thomas and Caden Thomas first, asked for mindbreaker from Medical, then they made unauthorized modifications to Brig, then they harrassed a Doctor and they said they robbed the CMO. Lastly, the situation you have mentioned.

Rule 2 was broken because Caden Thomas and Grant Thomas had no roleplay reason nor authorization from Commander to “modify” the Brig and First Lieutenant’s private room as two Privates, and it is also broken because they took CMP’s ID not to help him or to help others but just to grief him. I must say that we do not allow this kind of gameplay focused on to grief someone even without a reason, especially when it is planned like this.

Considering the abuse of engineering skills to grief the players, harassment and extreme LRP, I will be issuing Engineering jobban to the players of Grant Thomas and Caden Thomas. Report approved.
