The Marines have three/four levels of troops, those being Standard, CBRN which specializes in dealing with Chemical biological radiological and nuclear, FORECON who are Spec ops capable marines that use light-weight gear, and MARSOC, who are Real Spec ops.
So seeing as the Marines have slightly more advanced units of fighting who aren’t fully deathsquad. i think we should an UPP Equivalent of FORECON/CBRN in the form of UPP SOF, these guys would have their own distinct gear to separate them from the standard UPP, additionally a hostile equivalent of CBRN/FORECON would give the marines a bigger threat then just UPP soldiers or CLF Guerrillas without the threat being just Commandos
Armour: CCC5 Armour, this armour should use mostly medium or light armour stats due to it being lighter then the Colonial Marines equivalents however like the CBRN suit it should be strong against Biological damage as it is a space suit, to make the UPP SOF not too powerful this version has the AK-104 removed or in Semi auto only.
Weapons: Type 71’s are good on surface worlds, but in space you’re going to need something more accurate, so the SOF gets AK-4047’s instead, as these weapons are more reliable in space, they also get a pistol, either the QSZ-203 or Type 74.
Ranks: Due to their status as Special Ops Capable, the UPP SOF consists mainly of Officers, those being Leytenants mainly, including Senior, Junior and Doktors with a squad lead of the rank of Kapitan, it may seem odd that the SOF consists mainly of officers but there is a reason for this, during peace times the SOF officers can be called upon to help train the standard forces, and in times of war the SOF can command UPP units thanks to their superior training and understanding of tactics.
