Service History
Veyna Corrix was apprehended by UAS customs enforcement on 2160-03-12 during a targeted sweep of illicit logistics lanes. She was found to be in possession of sealed canisters containing restricted bioreagent precursors and stabilization matrices; materials commonly diverted to black-market biofabrication labs in the former Chinese Arm. Convicted under the Colonial Smuggling Act, she was offered (and accepted) penal service in lieu of long-term incarceration.
Due to processing delays and the penal system’s reliance on stasis for transport and population management, Corrix was placed into penal cryostasis on 2160-04-01. When the Dog War escalated and AFF forces required immediate manpower reinforcement along the Red Line, she was reactivated on 2163-07-09 and rushed into the Defense of Plymouth. At the time of reactivation she was biologically 21.
During the July 2163 engagements she served as a field combat technician; wiring barricades, jury-rigging smartlink relays, cannibalising disabled turrets to maintain sector coverage, and laying improvised demolitions to blunt UPP armored advances. Her habit of clenching down and pushing through under fire earned her the squad nickname “Lockjaw.” Following the stabilization of Plymouth and subsequent AFF demobilisation, Corrix was returned to penal cryostasis on 2163-08-02 pending treaty review and redistribution.
Following the Pang Ho Treaty, Corrix’s record was reviewed. In 2164 her conviction was commuted under “special service completion” guidelines, but with manpower surpluses she was cycled in and out of stasis rather than granted immediate permanent posting. Between 2165 and 2170 she saw limited activation for garrison engineering details, escort duties on colonial outposts, and depot refit work; never long enough to establish a full tour, but sufficient to keep her file marked “deployable.”
In 2171 she was formally reassigned from penal status to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Brigade and the following year was posted aboard the patrol transport USS Almayer as a Combat Technician. Corrix remained in stasis during most of the ship’s peacetime patrol cycle, with only occasional wake periods for drills, small-scale operations, and technical standby. In 2182 she was fully reactivated alongside the rest of Bravo Company for extended deployment.

Hi, I'm Marceline! I'm new to CM and SS13 as a whole, my girlfriend introduced me to it and I've found it really fun so far. I really enjoy lore stuff and I'd like to make my character and writing work in cannon while also being super unique, so I might end up referring to some super niche things. I still haven't actually watched any of the Alien movies and I actually know very little about it, but I plan to soon. Any feedback, criticism or just general thoughts are very welcome, this is my first character and as I figure out what I enjoy playing I will either change this character or create a new one to fit the new role :3
