We got some pretty badass sprites sitting there, that rarley get used. So why not use em?
Corputed often enough have the issue of being hard to regonize as marines as not enemy xenos.
This would 100% solve that issue, being that they would use uniqe sprites.
Would also make corupted a whole lot cooler overall.
I know Xenonid sprites need some work done, but thats mostly just small tweaks.
The small changes arent the topic, its about generally using them for corupted.

Marines shoot greenos not because they “”““mistake””“” them for real xenos but because they want to be pricks and they know they can get away with it. The actual very new marines who shoot them by accident would shoot xenoids likewise.
I’d actually be quite fine in there being a alternative sprite set for Corrputed. Xenos but green feels like a placeholder.
I do understand Xenoid sprites are not well regarded however.

The art for Xenoids is fantastic, and way more readable to me than some of the Xeno sprites especially since there’s a way better transfer of color and design from Tier 1 to Tier 3, and separation between Castes! Are you being attacked by the defensive ones who all have a brown crest, the offensive ones who all have red coloration and blades, or the ranged ones who all have green sacs and six legs?

It’d give Prime Xenos more reason to hate Corrupted Xenos if they looked very different, rather than just a shade of green.

I honestly like lurker (although it makes no sense from camouflage perspective, you are supposed to hide in the darkness, why are you red???). I really dislike runner and defender (current defender is peak, because of the crest). Warrior is questionable. The rest are fine, but obviously current sprites are just better.
And if you look at this part of the diagram, everything just blends. Queen, carrier, defender and prae all look very similar. It’s painfully obvious that whoever made these sprites was just copypasting samples then adding details. Go ahead and try to distinguish hivelord from warrior. Guess you can, but now do this in actual combat.
Xenos are just eugenicists anyways, they don’t even need much reason, remember when they wiped out the red xenos just because they saw them as red despite them literally being the same to anyone else?
I remember when they change cm into those sprites, best day of my life! The xenos didn’t want to go out of the caves because they was afraid the marines would laugh at them. The runner hiding in a dark corner in fear that marines would see her with their flares.the hivemind was like beeing in a comedy show. “Look of horrible i look! They will die laughing” I have never ever laughed so hard in cm. Core memory
I really dislike the Xenonid sprites to be honest, not because they’re bad sprites but they aren’t “Xenomorphs”. Greenos and all the other hive colors just need proper sprites, what I mean by that is an actual sprite rather then a color assigned in the code. Even better would be unique Greeno sprites, but just a proper recolor of the regular ones would be good enough.
