When I saw that there is now a forum “game” list, I realised that we were lacking an actual game suggestion thread. Maybe this will get some of you off your sick CM addiction and will hook you on something else. Game suggestions could be anything from mainstream stuff to obscure things hardly anyone has touched. Just give the title, where to buy it, a general description, and finally your opinion.
If there is enough suggestions I may group games together at the top under some hidden sections. I’ll also offer a game suggestion to start with as well.
Dice Gambit - Steam - It is a top-down turn-based strategy game where you lead a family of inquisitors in cleaning out a city of monsters. Combat is done using a variety of classes and builds that rely on dice rolls to determine what you can and cannot do in a turn. - I thought that the gameplay was easy to pick up and the variety of skills and classes let me make a variety of builds. The art and music are great, but if you aren’t into more cartoonish art styles it may be a miss for you. The first act is free, I would recommend giving it a look.
Find an LGS. Get a starter commander deck, play, lose for the first 500 games until you get good. Make tons of friends, friends for life. Touch grass. Get sunlight to combat your depression. Find the biggest man-children and thank your diety of choice that you’re not like them and you actually have a chance to do something with your life.
Alternatively in a similar vein, Escape From Tarkov. Similar appeal without the sunlight and friends.
Your Only Move Is Hustle - Steam - Cool looking game to play with friends.
Starcraft 2 (campaign and arcade) - Battle.net - My childhood, also really like RTS games.
Team fortress 2 - Steam -
Command and conquer 3 (and Kanes Wrath)- Steam - Yet another RTS game
Hidden Deep - Steam -
Monster hunter world - Steam -
Tempest Rising - Steam - Another RTS game, although this one’s still being polished.
OneShot (& OneShot : Fading memory) - Steam - RPGmaker game, tear up.
Worldless - Steam -
GTFO - Steam - Good with friends.
Anomaly 2 - Steam - A game i’ve played on mobile. Currently 2€.
Dying light 1 - Steam -
Dishonored 1&2 - Steam -
Metro series - Steam - Under 90% sales too
Titanfall 2 - Steam -
Helldivers 2 - Steam -
Ori and the will of the wisps - Steam -
Nine sols - Steam -
Tactical Breach Wizards - Steam -
They are billions - Steam -
At this point I could pass the whole steam library, otherwise they’re all pretty good games that you can find there.
Warhammer 3 is amazing and one of my favorite games but I cant in good conscious recommend you buy it because you need to drop a shit ton of money on warhammer 1, 2, 3 and all the DLCs to have a good experience.
Also if you have a significant other who is even slightly into gaming I 100% recommend you play It Takes Two. So fucking amazing.
If you like CM13 marine gameplay, odds are you’ll get some decent hours out of foxhole. If you like large scale combat and/or in-depth logistics, its a game for you.
