add VC for xenos when queen is alive
if queen is dead everyone gets disconnected out of the discord voice call
we already have bots observing if the round is over or not why dont we get one for queen or why dont we get one when hivemind is up
also everyone that uses voice chat should use a larva voice changer so that they sound like aliens or when they are queen they get a deep or chipmunk voice (required)

I think that adding voicechat to this game is THEORETICALLY possible.
I also think that cold fusion is theoretically possible.

I’ve played servers that use a third party for local VOIP, a bit buggy but honestly very cool.
This was with a pop of about 10-20 though, the shrill screeches of 200 privates being captured probably results in actual PTSD.
As for xenos, they already have hivemind voicechat. It’s called the xenocord👽

I was unironically originally go into a way it could be done using my theoretical computer knowledge, but uh, I thought to make a joke in lieu of being wrong. (Something something Teamspeak, something something channels, something something USER HAS DISCONNECTED FROM THIS CHANNEL, something something paid service.)
I don’t think voice chat would be good for the game; If I wanted to get screamed at by my team-mates for my stupidity, I’d player ArmA Reforger.
Plus, its easier to roleplay a character over text chat than having to repeatedly stick to a gimmick - I think roleplaying my character with a on stutter on VOIP would kill me. I also dislike using voice chat more broadly, but that is personal preference.
I will say, people giving voice chat their HRP all and desperately screaming over the radio for the Normandy to hurry up and provide fire support with a horror present in their voice akin to a real soldier in combat WOULD be based as fuck, but otherwise, I think I’d just get a horrific headache; Also, mic-spammers, people saying slurs and other such common issues with voice-chat would make it nearly untenable.
I’m pretty sure this is what the SS13 UI on any server looks like to a first time player.
