As per title, I think a lot of us who play marine would appreciate more time to roleplay, but as xeno, the time spent waiting is already so long it’s just not usually worth it.
But imagine if xenos could do something fun (I dont know what this could be, but it’s gotta be something most if not all xenos can do, and probably combat related) to pass the time until hijack is ready? Would it be okay to make xenos wait longer if they had something to do?

That’s a really interesting question. I wholeheartedly agree with the fact that marines should get more time to roleplay before hijack happens.
As someone who plays MP semi-regularly (Herbert Roosevelt), it’s a big gripe of mine that marines can fuck shit up (read: vandalize, interfere in ongoing arrests) and just hop on the dropship to deploy and dodge all consequences. Half the time they die, a quarter of the time they come up after evac and there’s no point in arresting them. I think it’s really bad for the marine RP culture for there to be no consequences for acting completely out of line.
As for what xenos could do while they’re waiting… hmm. A part of me wonders if there could be a thing similar to forsaken xenos, where the xenos are given a group of survivors they can hunt down while they wait for hijack. It could give something for the marines who inevitably went perma to do. I have no idea how you would justify this IC; maybe the CMB stepping in?
Another problem is that you don’t want these “forsaken” marines to pose an actual threat to the hive, since they’re really just there to be the proverbial keys jingling in front of the xenos. You could take away their guns, but then nobody would want to play as them to begin with. Maybe all xenos killed during this phase could come back as larva immediately? A small downside, but with the opportunity of more caps it could be well worth it. I’d love to hear more feedback about this.

All the xenos should be able to see the queen play peggle, so that the queen can either ragebait the xenos or the xenos will try to backseat game the queen.
while marines roleplaying we can just watch family guy funny moments, of course every xeno need to watch it at the same time so we can just replace hive status panel with youtube
