Nah not much fun with CLF vs CLF. It makes no sense. What i want to see is CLF sleepers in USCM activate and cause USCM civil war, that would be peak

We should have secret gang war mode, as squads are gangs.

CLF vs CLF, ‘Colony Crisis’ gamemode

On (insert groundmap) the colony is thrown into complete and utter turmoil following a takeover- multiple colonists having taken up arms and overthrown/threw out/killed their Weyland overlords, and the Marshals enforcing their will. There are two main factions: the Colonists fighting under the banner of the CLF for the independence of their home. On the other side, UPP-backed and armed pirates, gangsters, terrorists, and mutineers having claimed a ship of their own to pillage and wreak havoc amongst the UA.

On the defensive side, a force of poorly equipped but numerous colonists fighting under the flag of the Colonial Liberation Front. A group of idealists that follow the teachings of Colonel Ganbaatar, notorious leader of the CLF cell that led a defense (which could be seen as successful or a failure, depending on who you ask) against a USCM taskforce in the Neroid sector, and crippled her flagship. Emboldened by this victory, weeks later, the downtrodden miners and abused wage-slaves on the colony finally grew a pair and kicked out their leadership, declaring they would fight tooth and nail to maintain their independence from any foreign power.

On the attacking side, a force of veteran pirates and their warlord, backed secretly by the UPP’s government to fly the flag of the CLF and destabilize the UA and WY in the Neroid sector. These are the men and women of the USS Babalatchi, a Conestoga-Class transport from the UA’s fleet, captured by mutineers in 2180 and now being used as the flagship for one of the most notorious groups of commerce-raiders and fantasists in the sector. Generally, they would stay far from the prying eye of the public, opting instead to pick on lone Weyland long-haul transports, but the potential to claim an entire colony of their own to operate from - not to mention, the near-undefended riches left behind after the sudden transition of power - was too good to say no to.

The offer was made to the colony to join up with the Babalatchi and her crew. Still riding the high of victory against what they saw as an insurmountable force, the colonists tell these pirates to fuck right off and take up arms once more, refusing to let themselves be subjugated. As such, preparations for an orbital insertion are made …

there, i made it a not-acid-goop post
