My main issue with CL is one thing. In CIC i am busy. Men are getting their organs ripping out their bodies by monsters. I stright up do not have the time to deal with CL’s. In some cases I legaly can’t leave CIC. In most cases CIC is the last peopel you should try to RP with. The only exception being if you both a CO and an XO. Cause since both of those have the same job one can take over for the other.
As an XO main the biggist mistake I ever see is a C’sL who think he has any power. WY does not own the USCM they give us moeny but no were does it say I have to care. You can threaten to cut my funding but I know it will never happen. IC why would WY even do that, you’r are one CL and this would alienate their biggest ally the USCM. All the power lies in you’r boss who can only be contacted via fax. A fax I know will never be read. I have an army of MP’s and you hold zero cards.
But I will give you the best tip’s I can to help you RP.
First off the unifrom- I see a lot of CL and most blend int othe background. If you want to communicate to me that you’r a CL with an actual persoanlty dress like it. Wear a black trench coat or a pink shirt. I always wear a brown coat with a red face wrap. I am easily noticed and just by looking at me you can tell I have plans. I look shaddy and I am shaddy. A pro tip is have a lighter in you’r belt slot. The orange glow gives you strange looking aura that jsut helps sell it.
Don’t relay on faxes- 999999999999.99999999999999999999999999999% of the time you’r faxes will never be read. As an XO you can threaten to call whiteout on me but as a player and IC I know that will never happen. In fact as an XO i could maybe have you arrested for trying to do that. You need to find a way to RP without them.
You need a goal- CL’s often have gimmiks but what a real CL needs is a goal. One that may not even help or might even hurt WY. One goal I give my CL is to make as much moeny as possible for my bank account. Not moeny for WY but for me specficaly. This has resulted in super fun RP. Things like gas lighting my fax responder into giving me a raise. Setting up a drug lab and hireing MT’s to dealers.
The gold standered of RP- Whenever you can always try and have RP be backed up by a material thing. Don’t just implie you will sent PMC’s to attack the MST. Hire an MT and have actually do it. If I can IC look at and touch whatever we are RP’ing about the better. This is one reason why selling drugs is so fun as it’s a physical thing people can do stuff with.
The only time CIC wil pay attention- The only way to get CIC’s attention is if you do something ilegal. That is it.
