Newpred here. Normally anything with AP will pretty reliably damage a predator, but if I had to pick a load out it would have to be the good ol’ MK2 AP and shotgun combo

Shotgun PB, AP, and fire.
Sprite click bursts. For example the VP in the RMC spawn is really good to burst PB with.

Its all about the area you’re fighting in - Long hallways are good, as they restrict side-to-side movement, and its easier to predict where they are going, as opposed to an open field. You won’t find many hallways on colony maps, so failing that, buildings (Especially ones in Hybrisa) are good.
As for weapons, fire and AP. You’ll probably want an underbarrel flamethrower and enough AP to kill a king.
Get used to sprite-clicking, and try not to panic when your skull gets fractured.
Fight until you’re dead. Don’t give up until then, chance is if you put up a good enough fight, they’ll toss you back to friendly lines.
The ACTUAL best weapon is actually using the ‘M’ key and roleplaying. They never see it coming :D.

If you’re really good with a shotgun you can use that, and only that.
Flamers are good, go for direct flames
Anything with AP, good damage per shot and burst is good (mk1/mk2, VP78)
Personally I run M39 AP, shotgun and flamer.

I’ve generally heard that fletchette is pretty good because of it’s AP and because you’re getting more damage per shot if you time it right. In general, anything with AP works, but more damage outright is probably better than more DPS because the odds of missing a lot of shots are high (especially if it’s gear retrieval and they use their cloak).
So basically what people have already said. Shotguns, AP, fire. Sentries can do a fair bit of damage if they’re focusing you (especially if the gun is behind cover or you’ve got others backing you up), fire extinguishers can negate cloak if that’s a concern. You’ll always be slower than a pred, so might as well go medium or heavy armor to tank more hits.
However, the honorable way to fight a pred is with your bayonet and throwing knives and no armor at all while oxy’d to the max. So try that one out.

MOU loaded with flechette, engage, shoot, disengage, reload, engage. But they will run away from you as soon as they notice anything, so you can’t have loadout that is desinged against, or else you will never catch one.

Armor piercing, so you’ve got a bunch of it already listed in the thread. Flechette with a Mou53 with good reloading can do it (Friendly fire MONSTER), Mk2 with AP is honestly one of the easiest, alongside the M39 with AP. Mk2 has the damage, while M39 has the movement speed, not getting hit is a really good way to kill preds. Flamer is really good if you sprite click it. Them walking over the fire is almost negligible damage, but a direct hit? Blue flame a Pred, and that Pred is going to be having a very bad day.
A crazy thing to use, Its wild but, the VP78. It comes with a good single fire, but also a burst fire. So you can click single shots if you aren’t good, but burst fire with sprite clicking? You’ll melt them in no time at all. No movement speed penalty, high armor pen, huge damage.
Big debate right now about armor in another thread, but Light armor for the speed and stay in the open. I don’t know if armor even matters too much honestly, I think pred weapons have massive armor pen. Give them a corner to hide around and they’ll burst out of it and hit you. Better to have flares up and a seven tile range in all directions than being stuck in some tight space with only two or three tiles of vision. If you have to fight in a tight space, abuse it and try to keep away in one direction, fire back in the other. Even a pred wouldn’t dare enter a 1x1 corridor if you have AP.

MK2 ap is bestt, turn the burst on or single fine too, kite them bitches, and pray you don’t get FF’d by stray bullet and slowed down

I got slimed yesterday by a lone human in the HG with a VP. I’m nowhere close to the good pred players but even I got mollywhopped by that, and i was at near full health when the fight started. Burst sprite clicking, flame sprite clicking, mk2 AP and body blocking have killed me more than anything else

To be fair, VP has like 40 full AP damage and great accuracy, and the VP belt comes with like 6 mags. Turn on burst and you’re doing ~120 damage per volley against a pred. It genuinely might be the anti-pred weapon.
