I can imagine the second image is a just-in-case we ever get the airlock dropships but what’s the Req level for?

Immersion is the only answer I’ve seen so far. I would also like to know if it goes beyond that.
It’s where they grind up the marines that fall down the ASRS to make the MREs.

Along with the dropship airlocks, AFAIK, the intended route for req on the roadwork is to (mostly) remove drop pods for crates, relying on sending down crates via the dropship and then ferrying them into place with the new cargo wagon. The lower area is going to have functional conveyors to move those crates from req to the hangar because it would be a lot of busywork otherwise.

Far I’m aware this is implemented only for the future: right now it’s unused aside from admin-events as stated earlier, but I believe some of the maintainers said that this is still under-development and may be interacted with once fully done and made.
Per usual, we shall wait and see.

It was added for the eventual dropship airlocks and the mapper just decided to add more detail down there for flavor and I guess the occasional admin shenanigans, thats about it.
