You used to be able to spawn in with uniform patches from various factions. (CLF, UPP, WY, TWE, yadda yadda yadda)
They got removed a while back, buuuut is there any real reason why? They were nice for some fluff RP you could have. You could only use them as civilian roles/survivors.
How long ago was this?
Probably this one from December.
Thank you very much for locating the PR. The Answer should be in it.
@Pucufix The reasoning was âI really donât like the kind of awkward rp it brings, in some cases, as with CLF patch, it can also bring admin headache. Other patches could be used well if weâd actually have a factional character prefs, so these could only be used by members of faction those fit in, until that, it shouldnât be a thingâ.
Yeah this disappointed me, I added all of those patches in hopes people would use them for RP-shenanigans and the like, or just for fluff RP and flavor, something to talk about.
Itâs a shame they were removed from the âCivilian onlyâ section, but alas not much I can really do about it.
Also another thing; I get removing the CLF, perhaps CEC and such, but why the Corporate patches? Theyâre literally just Corporations? I donât get the reasoning behind that.
what pisses me off is that they removed berets from the surv flavour item pool.
The only possible explanation is some cope along the lines of âb-but it says in the description that itâs often seen in the hands of officers or decorated senior enlisted!â
Bruh as if I couldnât get my hands on used military stuff. IRL there was a dude that somehow had a WW II tank in his shed and my character couldnât possibly have received a green beret as a gift from a dude he met?
You could ask the person who made the PR.
If you care about the logistics of a civilian acquiring a beret then surely you must care about the logistics of the Marines somehow adopting berets for some reason, right?
Does the Orange Engineering Beret mention anything about officers or enlisted?
Or you know you could jsut say âthe miltary dosent hold a monoploy on this hat. Other people make them.â
That is also a good point.
