I’m just wondering, why is it a random choice of colours instead of the USCM flag? I’ve also seen it be a trans flag, but I thought that was only for pride month. I’m not homophobic, but why, from an RP point of view? It’s even in the inspect description.
Maybe it should be a choice to select what flag you have? (i’ve literally never used it)
They put em up for pride month and just never put em back.
I’d prefer they did put it back, it’s more soul rallying behind the USCM flag.

The less charitable part of my brain can’t help but think that someone on the staff wants to keep it so long that it comes off as “weird” to remove it.

@Chook I doubt it’s a case of malicious intent. We also had the pride colours imprinted on the USCM floor symbol in the briefing room for the month, but that was removed at the end of the month. I’d wager more this is just an oversight, considering how rare/uncommon the JIMA deployable is.
Yeah it’s more likely no one could be bothered enough to change it back. It was added as a funny joke for Pride, and then kind of just fell off the radar, especially considering how infrequent and tiny the sprite is.
I like those new flags. Just like coneheads and neon-haired characters, they add to the silliness of CM and hold it from devolving into a military RP snoozefest
Imagine screaming “SIR, YES, SIR, OORAH!”, saluting the gay flag, and then running to your death. It won’t be half as fun if you replace the flag with it’s previous sprite of “red rag on the pole”
I looked into the files and the jima flag is still the same so it’s got to be applied in game or something.
If there is no code change, then it’s possibly a server change controlled by the hosts I imagine/guess.

I think it’s fine, but the UA flag should probably be the default, adding it in as a choice, along with maybe some other funny choices, why not.
