why don’t preds just take combi stick and heavy armor?
Combi stick has a RNG chance to block bullets which makes it really good for not dying.
REGULAR AMMO:
heavy armor + Combi = roughly 90 bullets
Heavy armor itself = 60 hits (1 extended mag)
Light armor itself = 45 hits (3/4ths of an extended mag)
AP:
Heavy Armor + Combi = 36 hits
Heavy Armor = 26 hits
Light armor = 24 hits
If you’re dodging even a quarter of the bullets that come at you, with heavy armor+combi you’re forcing your opponent to reload at least one time if they’re using AP, your massive HP pool means that the marine has basically no hope of killing you before you stab them until they stop moving.
I’d rather have fun a take weapons that are fun, rather than the meta whenever a group of marines chooses to try to be a gank squad.
