I’ve had a problem like this to however I have recieved a medal in the past yet its not shown given by nessie of course much love for having more than two braincells and went to kill shipside xenos. I checked several times maybe might be a glitch or an error I only have a photo of he medal thats how I know it exists from time to time.
If ya could look into this it might help a little

I think this would be a good idea - but they’d have to be like playtime medals, and they shouldn’t show the actual reason you got the medal.
A xeno onboard the USS Almayer would be documented and probably even impossible lore wise.
It can even be for the specific job, for example: I wouldn’t have this medal as an XO because I was a Spec.

precisely why in-game medals shouldn’t be a thing. it’s item spam for marines and even more heavily biased against xenos. “Oh XX” etc
maybe medals can only be equipped if you got it in the previous round, after that it goes away next round unless you got another medal from the CO
