Evidence:
What I said was not an exact quote nor an intention to meme, but a true reflection of my thoughts at the time. It was a crime of passion wherein my strong emotions of happiness allowed my roleplay to be subconsciously influenced by a speech I heard several years ago, itself made in 2016, 9 years ago (I had to look this up as I literally did not remember the speech in question except by the jogging of Lago). I had no intention of memeing, it was a simple synapse connection between the word ‘win’ and that speech I faintly remembered in my brain. Despite only being 21 words and lasting for 10 seconds, this simple lapse of realization of the provenance of my words was preyed on by Lagomorphica to claim it was LRP and a meme. I cannot feasibly escape cultural references which are embedded into my subconscious. In addition, I’m not American nor do I have any interest in American politics; hopefully this reinforces why I was not familiar with the origin of the speech.
Not only was this statement pertinent to the situation at hand, a great victory/win of the marines, it was something so rudimentary in it’s nature that anybody could reasonably come up with it. This contrasts to the typical enforcement of the ‘no memes’ rule wherein people say stuff which doesn’t make sense, like Among us, Impostor, Covid, Netspeak, anything more obviously a meme and not appropriate to the situation.
What I mean to say is thus: this ruling was not interpreted in good faith and in good intention to improve roleplay standards, but a literal interpretation whereby any reference, intended or not, to a ‘meme’ could potentially be viewed as a rulebreak and punished unjustly. I understand that admins reserve the right to judge the intent of any players actions, but I would nonetheless humbly request a holistic interpretation of my actions and roleplay to judge whether I am, or had any intention of being LRP.
Thank you for your time.
