Yautja Character Story:
A group of Marines suddenly rush up and start shooting you. How do you respond?
Depending on the area, this is grounds for honorable combat. If it’s in the frontline area though, I’ll avoid fighting there and instead bait them to come and fight elsewhere. Should this involve Specialists, Medics, et cetera–I’ll return the bodies if I successfully defeat the group in battle in a place where we can duke it out without having xenos come in and cap them. I know in (!some!) cases they are temporarily dishonorable, but when I held the WL previously, I actually loved these fights.
Another Yautja hunted and killed a target you had marked. What do you do?
Accuse them about it. First, hear out their side of the story; if the prey had acted dishonorably to them, there is no grounds for action. If they however stole the kill for no reason, challenge them to an honor duel to settle this grudge. Remember that we cannot kill other Yautja without honor duels or an Ancient’s permission unless you want to be labelled a “bad blood”.
I’ve seen your synth once or twice and your marine and xeno too which is good. About your second question, if you honour duel them or not generally depends on your preds personality, and your answer seems to fit your story in terms of what I determined about your pred. Your story was alright, and the idea of a short pred is pretty funny to be honest. Anyways, I’d just like to ask you some questions about HC that will hopefully keep you entertained while you wait and be beneficial to display your knowledge of HC to the people who will review your app
You and another Yautja are the only hunters in the server, it’s a pretty normal round so far. The other Yautja gets hugged and nested in the hive. What do you do?
You are bantering with another Yautja and they call you a midget, how do you respond?
You are fighting a honourable marine when you accidentally draw and fire your spike lanucher at them, hitting them with 1 spike. What do you do?
At all costs (preferably without killing the entire hive, but if I have to, I will), ensure the other Yautja self-destructs now that they host the serpents’ parasite. I will do this by first attempting to sneak into the hive proper, and yoink the pred out from under the serpents. Should they catch onto me, I will do everything to grab the other hunter’s body and force an SD (preferably outside the hive to prevent larvas from getting cross-fired); and if I am going to die, I will die trying to take his body with me.
Depends on whether or not they constantly push it. If they do, we can do an honorable duel 'till one of our bones breaks or one of us falls unconscious. I don’t see needing to kill the other Yautja over this.
Immediately cut combat and try to tend to their wound. It was my fault, I will mend it. If it breaks a bone or anything, I could see taking the marine directly back to their FOB or to a non-combatant doctor to get it patched up. Maybe in more rare cases, actually beam them up to the ship to do it there, but unless they’re dying and there’s no other of their race that can do it, leave it to their own species while correcting what I can in diligence.
EDIT: Some reasoning for 2. Hish’Ohlek finds it a very sore spot, but doesn’t take it necessarily as a slight on his honor. Though if someone tells him that his clan are fools for accepting him as a “short one”, he’ll definitely go to the scale of a death duel.
Generally hugged preds are treated as aboms in terms of weapons and tactics you can use against them and the hive, which means that as long as you abide by spirit of the whitelist pretty much anything you do to kill them is alright, even more so since you are solo, but your answer is fine. I personally would just small SD them as soon as I get them but its your preference and ultimately there isn’t any punishment for failing.
This is fine but most of the time you’ll just banter back and insult them to a similar caliber, some people are there to RP and not to spar.
This is correct, if you break HC while fighting you’re to disengage. You don’t need to patch their wound yourself, but making sure they have a safe path to medics or their team in general is good SotWL.
A duel tends to be to the death. Almost never will it be any less than critical or death. If they insult you excessively, a predator generally would not let it slide. Otherwise fine.
Not really as relevant but you are mechanically restricted from SDing an alive predator who’s hugged. They need to be dead, so that has to be part of the plan to recover them. They need to get out alive alongside you or be killed and SDed.
Either way. I’ve seen Yayyay007 quite a few times before. You’re an old player who held the whitelist to an acceptable standard prior. Your story is decent and I’ve seen you around. I have no issue giving my +1 as it stands.
