with the exception of low pop, you cant go queen again if you died as a queen already. exception for being an other hive.

Why? You already can’t get back in game before queen evo is avaible - unless you are metacommunicating with someone and they ghost for you just in the right moment or you get a burrowed larva. Not to mention that it is quite common that noone wants to evolve to queen.

real thing, not sure if theres some behind the scenes stuff that allows it or just dumb queue luck but I’ve had it happen to me, I’ve seen WAR do it, and yesterday a new queen got it twice.
As for a reason, literally above, you failed, you dont get to hold the hot seat again. Let others have their turn.

I think it’s a good idea to give other people a chance to be queen first, but I think it would be bad to lock the previous queen out completely considering how often only one person on the server wants to play queen (this happens a lot even at 100+).

People arn’t really chomping at the bit to become that next queen, and more often than not I am praying that same queen comes back and takes control again. If there really are people pissed they never get to queen, I guess you can give the previous queen a 5 second wait period after queen is available. That is all a xeno desperate to be queen would need to snipe it.

Yeah just give the person a longer CD (like you need to wait extra 15 seconds on top of the queen death cd so if anyone else wants they can go first) instead of locking them out completely.

This needs to stop. Ok, we get it. WAR logs on, gibs all the specs. Captures all the SLs, that’s fine. You win on this front, you’ve been doing it for years. But I draw the line at WAR dying, then SUDDENLY a xenomorph drone in the hive just HAPPENS to ghost and WAR happens to click on the ghostrole just as it comes up. Clear and flagrant use of metagaming to attempt to bully marines out of the game. Mark my words, you won’t win this, there will be a player report Chichii. Don’t expect to get away with this type of conduct for much longer.

I mean besides metacomming you can definitely get lucky to get back in as Queen within 5 minutes if you are capping well as a hive. Plus might I add, Queen BOP does a little tactical dying every so often. Sometimes dying is the best way to get Marines out of cades and pushing into vulnerable territory. Othertimes Marine command has decided to play the long con and go for two hours nuke regardless of your death.
I think if you aren’t prime maybe this has some credibility that could apply to young/mature queens with low playtimes. However once you get to Elder Queen you are gonna have to die to learn how to tactically adjust to marine gameplay. Dying is unironically an important moment for Queens whether it’s a good important moment or a bad important moment is up to the player.
Dying as Queen is honestly as simple as overextending a few tiles past the invisible lines of engagement that are constantly shifting. It reminds me of the time about two weeks ago (before my MENACE addiction story arc): LV-624; LZ 1 landing; North West Jungle comms was left wide open because the order was to evac apparently (it was bait). Tried pushing to hydro, barely got halfway past medical before I realized I had completely read the situation wrong. No Marines on the screen but they knew they just had to 2x range me to death. It was disappointing as hell that I misread that scenario. Most new queens however wouldn’t have even made it back to the beach before dying because they wouldn’t know they assessed the situation improperly.
A complete learning moment that shouldn’t be punished. Did this make any sense?
Tl;Dr: maybe have some credibility for Mature/Young Queens since there is no proper “playtime” unlock amount. If OP meant timeout Mature/Young Queens from the role after a round they died groundside for a round after said round. Then maybe it could be a good thing. Otherwise idk dying as Queen sucks but it’s unironically important to die as Queen sometimes. Just check the COs you lose against.
