Zanfee - Commanding Officer Application

Zanfee is pretty solid over all, great at RP, competent at commanding and overall amazing game-sense. I’ve seen him a lot play both SL & XO, and I definitely have put a lot of trust in his strategies and flexibility.

Definitely a +1 from me

Very fond memories of Zanfee rounds; no matter where they are. Always someone you can roleplay with, and a sound XO/SO/SL.

I have seen Shiva show fantastic leadership, especially as XO and SL! They are also well versed in role-play, and I think they would do well as a Commanding Officer

Competent, good at the game and knows how to keep their line and never lose their cool.

A good long term friend and most of all, one who can be trusted with effort and passion for the role.

All my concerns were lifted months ago, no doubt you will only be a plus for the whitelist.

I will see you soon at Chinook major!

After reviewing this app, we’ve concluded that you’ve got a solid amount of community backing and have been vouched by COs and Councilors to be very competent in XO and SO roles. Your story looks good, and your application is solidly built. Well done.

Few things to note, as noted by the CO Council:

  • Many COs still haven’t seen you in action (though part of this may be due to you changing names halfway through). This isn’t disqualifying, but I’d recommend you play more often to get people to know you better so they can be more confident in you.
  • Occasionally we get reports saying your announcements were “90% text and 10% actual information.” Even if you don’t do this anymore, I’d suggest keeping in mind that most marines have no time to read long announcements in battle; it’s best to keep key information and orders on them and reserve the RP fluff for less intense moments like pre- and post-drop (i.e. debrief). If you add too much unnecessary information, marines’ eyes glaze over and miss out on critical information you might happen to put in the middle.

That being said, though, we like it overall. The Council has decided to accept your application and approve your promotion.

Congratulations, Major Darling. Welcome to the CO whitelist!
