Reason for Ban:

“As an XO, orderd the arrest of a SG for DASO, but used this arrest to force them to attend briefing . “I did tell MPs that I’m ordering the bravo SG’s arrest for DASO, if he isn’t in briefing, and once it was confirmed that he wasn’t in briefing, I gave the official order to have him arrested for DASO.” to quote them. Escalted due to previous notes. Appeal on forums. Also applying 3hr ban.”

Your appeal:

Firstly, I want to sincerely apologise for the situation and for the poor judgment I showed in handling it. I understand that ordering an arrest as a means to compel someone’s attendance at briefing is an abuse of authority and is against server rules. Even if my intentions were to maintain discipline, the way I handled it was wrong.

To provide context : the SG in question was being disrespectful before briefing even started and said something along the lines of “I only attend briefings conducted by commanders fit to command” I considered that to be clear disrespect directed at me, and when they didn’t attend briefing, I followed through and ordered the MPs to arrest them.

I realise that as a command player, I am held to a higher standard of conduct because command roles have a unique level of influence over how the round unfolds for a large number of players. I take responsibility for that and I understand the importance of exercising restraint to ensure the round remains enjoyable and fair for everyone involved.

Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments, and I’ll do my best to answer them.
