PVTs are gods blessing on Earth. I remember when I was one almost 3 years ago. I am thankful this community welcomed my newb ass with open arms.

Taught a new chef who didnāt know how to place things on a table how to make a vanilla cake, showed them the cooking guide, and told them to radio if they needed help, hereās the stuff they made in the same round where they didnāt know how to put things on the table without climbing it.
In the same round where I taught two new privates the lore of the game & basic medical, where preps and the squads are meant for, they died after I taught them how to paradrop and one dragged the otherās body to the FOB

A few months ago, I was playing as Mei Shirogane and returned to the Almayer after hijack. The MedBay was filled with people, and though I needed surg, I only had a frac and minor heart, so I thought I might as well go to my prep and restock my ammo and shit in preparation for Hijack.
There, I met a relatively new player. They knew the basics, but they had trouble taking off their gun attachments, so I decided to help em. I told them that they needed to go to their weapon tab and click on Field Strip Attachments. They say okay, but then just stand still for about half a minute.
Suddenly, a shot rings out. The dude fired his gun as I was right in front of him, which hit me, but only caused some minor damage and another frac.
āAll right,ā I thought to myself, āShit happens. I was gonna go to the MedBay anyways.ā
And then the dude fucking magdumps me and nearly sends me into fucking crit. Thankfully I was able to step to the side and disarm him before he actually killed me.
After I disarmed him, he gets aslept for about a minute before waking back up again to explain the entire thing. Turns out the dude was just lagging and all those shots was a collection of him clicking on his computer to try and get the thing to work going off all at once lmao.
He attempts to apologize profusely to me for nearly killing me, but instead I actually had to thank him because his magdump prompted an admin to aheal me, which ended up fixing the frac and heart damage I had at the very start of the interaction. We ended up coming to the conclusion that he had the magic ability to completely heal anyone he shoots and that he should go ahead and shoot me again whenever I get injured (he obviously didnāt lmao).
Moral of the story is: If the MedBay is full, bait some PVT into shooting you dead for the free aheal.

Not a private, nor that green, but yesterday when playing Trijent Damn as a doctor I had nurse Bob Yates deploy before me with XOās permission. I could tell heās new by asking locations of certain items in medbay and trying to place patients on bedrolls before defibbing them, but other than that he did great work and I had good time mentoring him on the ground during FOB sieges.

Honestly, seeing Bob (just Bob) go from a mute, bald RFN into a regular engineer player (after their soulful name was VIOLENTLY turned into Bob Joe by EVIL staff) was pretty cool. It feels only like yesterday he graduated from PVTā¦
I wonder if heās on the forums or discord or something.

2 Weeks ago, 2 PVTs in my squad (charlie) getting a couple kills each and surviving the round for a Marine Major on Trijent.
It was the round where Marines were on the retreat to the FOB and the Queen did a cheeky flank from the west podlocks and got BTFOād losing all her T3s in 2 minutes allowing Marines to retake the initiative.

nice alpha PVT named pyor the other day helped the SL (i think it was SL?) rush a queen and a prae; they got the queen low together, and he killed the prae but got nabbed in the process. asked the SL to remember his name and his work. good RFN, talker, heart of true silver

(I should note, this was all before I got mentor.)
First up is my line of Privates I ran into and helped. Was a bit of a clustrefuck to get them all in order (Couple guns werenāt loaded, two had no pouches, another didnāt have a belt.)

Second up is a screenshot I snapped of two Privates from Delta (I ALWAYS seem to have to train Privates whenever I CT, its like Iām cursed.)
Sadly didnāt get the names of these two.

My final words were for the private to put me out using a tramadol OD, and he oblidged. God bless Pvt. Buckets (He also got facehugged by a trap ~a minute after I died.)
Iāve also taught a handful of young xenos, but I had to factory reset my PC and the screenshots are lost to time, sadly.
