Why do you wish to become a Fax Responder?
To be completely honest, I play survivor alot and that means I die alot, and sitting an hour+ without anything to do can get boring. I think this would be a fun way to fill that time and contribute to the round at the same time - also, I’ve got a little bit of experience doing this from past W-Y events. The other reason is I think it’ll be fun to be on the receiving end of faxes - to consider what sort of responses to give as the /other/ party. Sort of like a writing exercise, I suppose.
What do you consider the purpose of this role?
Admins aren’t obligated to respond to faxes, but sometimes having a fax response can make someone’s round that much better. Answering faxes makes the universe feel a little bit more alive and gives the impression that things exist outside of the Almayer, which is good for immersion. As an added bonus, it also reduces the strain on admins and people whining about not having their faxes answered.
When would you consider it appropriate to use your phone?
If I need to call another fax responder office, or possibly ERT station if the situation calls for it.
Otherwise, only in an extreme case such as sending/receiving a ML-Related fax and it is misinterpreted or needs an error corrected immediately in a way that cannot wait on a faxed follow-up response.
If playing WY Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CL?
Minor objectives - gather intel on USCM operations, assess the extent of colony damage, create a dossier on an anti-corporate USCM Officer, compile a manifest of survivors, or get the Marines to recover the body of the Colony Manager.
I suppose I’d be the devil/angel on the CL’s shoulder, in this case - anything I tell them to do should be something they can normally do without fax responder intervention, I’m just encouraging them and planting those ideas.
If playing Press Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CC?
Get pictures of a big xeno, or pictures of the Marines doing something. Perhaps an objective to film Charlie Breakfast as part of a PR campaign, or interview the smartgunner to give a run-down of how their weapon works.
Generally the same as above - if the CC normally couldn’t do it on their own, I shouldn’t give it to them as an objective.

I have about 4ish hours of Provost time, 1 hour as a UPP Political Commissar, ~9ish hours as WY corporate roles (Spread across Corporate Executive, Corporate Senior Executive, Security/PMCs) and I’ve played as a visiting USCM official’s honor guard a couple of times (Tallfission, Seraphilian), and a lot of playtime as a survivor CMB/ICC Adjutant
