Rule 2 and Rule 4, I’ll copy specifically what was said in the conclusion of the player report, as I can’t copy my ban reason from BYOND.
Jim ‘Jam’ Miller asking to have his bones broken roundstart, asking to be pre-splinted on every limb, and intentionally attempting to be disruptive, alongside murdering the Warden and CMP for minimal reason.

I’m not gonna yap about how sorry I am or anything, because I don’t feel like I did anything to be that sorry for. But what I will say that I did push certain things I did to the extreme, which I can admit were mistakes I made.
But what I will do, is say that I am a firm believer that when you play a game, it should be to have fun. I’m not saying that you should be breaking rules if that’s what you consider “fun”, but what I am saying is that for me, the most memorable parts of CM are the goofy parts, not the five-billion paragraph long briefings, or the book long *me chats (Not that those are bad or anything, it’s just I don’t remember a single one, and nine times out of ten I yawn when they occur). Inherently, CM is a goofy game, I mean you’ve got a bunch of jarheads in the middle of space fighting big lizards who want everything dead, all the while there’s a massive communist threat that they all hate, oh and don’t forget the fact that every time people roll the RMC, you see the MOST stereotypical British characters get played. With the USS Almayer in particular being so ridiculous that some people think it’s being a penal battalion because of how batshit insane everyone on it is.
I’m not saying anything about doing any of the above is bad, it’s just that a core part of what makes CM so enjoyable, to me anyways, is how goofy it is. And as a result of the goofiness of the game, I generally try to make the rounds I play a bit more goofy through my actions, not in a way that destroys RP, but just in a way that makes those rounds more memorable.
THE HEINOUS SPLINTING OFFENSE!
Regarding splinting my entire body, during the start of the round, I got into an altercation with an IO. During which the IO (Who meant to stab me to get me to run off) accidentally equipped their pulse rifle and shot me in the chest, and then switched to their boot knife to stab me (which I assume was their original intent), which broke my chest, ending the scuffle. After which, I got myself splinted and then thought, “Hey, it’d be kinda funny to splint my entire body”. Thus I did.
WHILE splinting my entire body, I asked Grace (The shipside synthetic) to help me splint my entire body, which results in her saying, “Why would I do that?”, me responding with “I was shot!”, and us having a four or five minute long conversation about why splinting your body in preparation for a frac is a sound idea and who shot me. Long story short, she says no and I splint my entire body during this conversation, with her saying that splints don’t work that way.
An RP reason: A Maintenance Technician who most likely has never been in a firefight or been shot at in his entire life was just a minute ago shot in the chest by an officer, breaking his ribs. In an overreaction to this, he becomes paranoid and decides that the best way to ensure it doesn’t happen again is to splint his entire body, just in case he breaks another bone.
Now, is that a bit of an overreaction? Yes, but it’s also a pretty funny overreaction, thus, I feel like that’s fine for an MRP server.
(Also I wasn’t aware splinting yourself fully is LRP)
THE DASTARDLY BONE BREAKING!
Moving on to talking about getting all my bones broken, prior to splinting my entire body, but after getting shot in the chest, I went into CIC and yelled “I’VE BEEN SHOT!” to the Captain (The only guy in CIC at the time), who in response asked, “Who would do that?”. I respond by going, “I ain’t no snitch.” to which the Captain says something along the lines of, “So you’re saying I could shoot you and you wouldn’t snitch?”. I then proceed to give some sort of hint about who it was and run out of CIC.
I, deciding that if I were to return to CIC with every bone in my body broken five minutes later, would be really funny, decided to ask a doctor if he could help me with that. Obviously, the doctor said no, thus I didn’t push it further and gave up on the idea (if I recall).
A non-RP reason: If an MT who you were previously talking to about how they got shot, and had their ribs broken showed up like five minutes later with every bone in their body broken as if they just had a run in with the cartel, and when you asked what happened and who shot them they responded with, “I ain’t no snitch”. That would be objectively funny, which is what I aim to try and do when I play.
Admittedly, if I really wanted my bones broken for the bit, I should’ve just Ahelped and asked if an admin could do so, or if it was appropriate to ask for, yet I didn’t, so my bad.
THE ASSASSINATION OF THE MPS!
Regarding killing the CMP and Warden, I had been arrested for Assault and Theft (I think? I don’t remember exactly), which resulted in me having a 25 minute timer, I thought, “Damn that’s pretty long, guess I might as well goof of while I’m in here”. I could’ve AFKed, and I would’ve if the MPs weren’t playing along, but the Warden decided to stick around in the yard with me, so I figured, “Hey why not, I’m already in here for assault” and started CQC-battling the Warden, while also occasionally throwing a plastic knife at him under the guise of, “Testing your alertness”. We continued this on and off for the next about 20 minutes, during which I successfully managed to table him, during which I could’ve easily stolen his ID and escaped from brig, but I decided I was enjoying the CQC-battle, so I decided to just steal his hat.
(I would also like to say, I’m pretty sure the Warden was fine with the CQC-war we had, as he could’ve easily just tazed me or walked out of the yard and it would’ve been over)
At some point during the final like five minutes of this, Skadihildur got processed and came out into the yard, in which she decided to join me in my CQC-war against the Warden.
As a result of all this, I assume I racked up a shitload of assault and disorderly conduct while in confinement charges, enough to cause my timer to say PERMA, though I was kept in the normal cell with yard access. As a result, in my head I went, “Well shit, I don’t exactly want to be here for the rest of the round”, and so I decided that my next great goal would be to break out. With the Warden constantly standing guard in the yard, and the CMP chilling in processing, I reasoned that my best bet would be to knock the warden out and escape with his ID, as if I were to just table-stun him, he’d call for backup and I’d be flashbanged before I could break out.
So, I got Skadihildur to vend me a CHUNK box, to which I started smacking the warden with, breaking his skull, and causing the CMP to show up and take over trying to apprehend us, while the warden left to go splint his fracture. During which, I got cuffed, though (somehow) the CMP and Warden managed to let Skadihildur uncuff me and get back to smacking them with the box, which I did, breaking the CMP’s skull and breaking the warden’s splint.
Eventually, I managed to knock the CMP out, but not the warden, as I assume they were on tram, thus resulting in them taking a few more hits to knock out than the CMP, who managed to regain consciousness and try to escape via a cell, though I hit them on the head before they could.
Finally, after a few more hits to the warden’s head, he fell, and I bested both of them.
I underestimated the strength of the CHUNK box, and kept hitting them both in the head to keep the KO’d while I waited for Skadihildur (Who had ran off east during this) to run over and help me apprehend them. The continuous hits to the head caused the CMP to start shaking which I think was him… having a seizure, I think? (I didn’t know that could happen) and die, while the warden died from oxygen loss about a minute later.
Immediately after the CMP died, I called for a doctor to brig several times over the medical channel, and brought them out so they could be revived, and then escaped.
Though, I hit them while unconscious in a “fit of rage” (RP-wise, anyways) as combined between them they I had probably been peppersprayed like 15 times during the round, and the CMP was being a dick to the warden, who by this point I (again, RP-wise) had gained an affinity for, thus, I hit the CMP a couple of extra times as punishment for being an ass to the warden. Did I mean to kill them? Nope. But did I accidentally beat the CMP and warden to death, and then try to rectify that mistake by calling for a doctor as soon as I did? Yep.
A thing I’d like to add, I, and I alone, beat the CMP and Warden to death, all Skadihildur did was uncuff me and throw the CHUNK box at them a few times (Not even sure if that does damage). In fact, Skadihildur was off-screen during the entire time I beat the CMP and Warden while they were unconscious.
A final word:
Skadihildur did commit jailbreak via escaping with me, but barring uncuffing me, they had next to no part in physically killing the warden and CMP (Unless they stabbed the warden when I wasn’t looking), so I feel like them being punished just as much as I was for that is unfair. Everything else they did I can’t speak for though, so ermmmm, yeah.
I’d like to say to the CMP (and possibly warden if I annoyed him too), my bad, if I was aware you were genuinely upset/annoyed with my actions, I would’ve toned it down a bit, so, I apologise for that.
I vaguely remember this round, as it wasn’t really that interesting enough for me to remember, so if there are any gaps in my knowledge or incorrect things I claim are true in this, my bad.
Also holy shit I wrote a lot more than I thought I did, whoopsies.
TLDR for forum readers: I was occasionally LRP during the round, which I apologise for, but do I believe I was being LRP enough to warrant a 2 week ban? No.
