Description of the incident:

According to what was said in last round chat, Skadihildur was annoyed that the XO made the mistake of sending Normandy down to FOB instead of Alamo, which caused further delays and kept shipside marines from deploying. In response, she started openly riling people up on comms to start a mutiny against the XO. When I had heard reports of a possible mutiny starting over comms, I started making my way towards the CIC to check up on the XO and make sure he was okay.

Upon climbing up the ladders that lead to the CIC Conference room, I heard shots being fired and saw that Skadihildur Grimsdottir was shooting down a window to the CIC conference room and climbing over the window frame, presumably trying to make her way to the Captain. Shortly after, the captain made an announcement that he heard gunfire and proceeded to initiate a lockdown.

I stopped her and asked her why she was there, to which she openly responded that she was there to mutiny. Since she was still a pvt, I told her in LOOC that she can’t mutiny since she did not get staff approval to do so, to which she seemed dismissive of. I then told her IC to deploy or cryo since CIC is in lockdown to dissaude her, but it was becoming clear that she was not interested in leaving.

After our brief conversation, Skadihildur had made her way just outside the CIC doors and the MP’s had arrived to investigate. I was mid-explanation trying to tell the MP that Skadihildur had mutiny aspirations when the CMP opened the CIC doors, and Skadihildur beelined straight for the CIC bubble. Thinking that she was trying to shoot the XO down, I got in-between them, flashed her and dragged her to the MP who then proceeded to cuff her. But before they could finish, she got up and shot me dead with her M39 and reportedly fired at the MP’s as well.

I’m not sure what had happened afterwards since I was taken to medical bay, other than the fact that she was arrested, but when I was eventually revived, hijack had already started.

This unfortunate incident is a clear breach of Rule 11 as she had proceeded to mutiny without proper staff authorization and she had no other mutineers with her, except for one other marine who eventually walked away when the MPs showed up (mutinies must have 5 members minimum). Furthermore, she engaged in improper escalation which violates the use of Lethal Force in Rule 10 by open-firing. While it can be argued that she had fired in response to me flashing her and dragging her away from the CIC bubble, Rule 10 explicitly states that “MP tools are not considered lethal weaponry. Unless a MP is shooting you, or using a baton on harm intent, you can’t respond lethally”, and the use of a flash falls under this category as it is considered a non-lethal tool.
