Command Knowledge:
How familiar are you with command positions?
Well, I’ve got experience on commanding from multiple games, but since this is a CM13 Application, i’ll just say how familiar I am with the positions in the server.
On CM I mostly Command on the PvP server, but also in the PvE in some instances.
I like playing as Executive Officer, Staff Officer, Chief Engineer, MilPol and Squad Lead, which at the end of the day are roles that require you to lead and have proper knowledge of the games mechanics, either if it’s your Section you are leading, an entire department or even the whole ship. I also believe that I know how to properly address problems that occur on the ship, no matter what they are.
I know how Overwatch works, how to properly announce stuff while doing it in what I think is an RP way, how to draw understandable tactical maps and last but not least, always attempt to keep an RP composure and keep actively communicating with my Staff Officers, or anyone that requests me.
I’m also familiar with the Commanding Officer Code of Conduct, Marine Law, Standard Operating Procedure, Chain Of Command, Ranks, etcetera.
But all those things apart, I believe that I can adapt to lead most of the departments or Sections, no matter the situation.

Character Information:
Why did your character decide to become the CO of a ship?
Bill Wallick was born in a hostile planet, a cold planet where the Colonial Liberation Front terror attacks paired with the oppression of the Union of Proggressive People’s made Wallick’s early memories be dark and grim, and both him and his family, they all yearned for a better life. Eventually, after his sister death at hands of a local Colonial Liberation Cell, him and his family finally managed to emigrate to the United Americas.
From the moment Wallick gained some conscience, he grew hatred for the cause of the Colonial Liberation Front and it’s Cells, swearing to avenge the crimes they have done and are still doing.
He wanted to make a change-Maybe for the sake of feeling powerful once in his life, to finally have some power so he could fulfill his desire, to do something meaningful, at least to some degree. Wallick had always been sidelined by people, yet he felt as if it was his calling to be the one that avenged the victims at hands of the CLF, specially his sister.
Maybe it was just that he yearned to feel seen, to not be put apart, but to actually be heard and listened to. Becoming a Commanding Officer didn’t only mean a good pay, a nice comfy seat and power, it meant to get a seat in a place where Wallick knew he could finally matter, where the decisions were made, where he would be heard
How did your character attain the position of CO?
Wallick enrolled into Officers school when he was 22 years old, right after he finished his degree on Strategic and Geopolitical Defense studies. He would spend six motnhs studying until finally leaving as a Second Lieutenant on the US Armed Forces.
It was after an operation on the planet of LV-133, that Wallick, amazed by the work of the Colonial Marines, would file a Conditional Release request to get transfered to the United States Colonial Marines, after some time of thinking, his Commanding Officers decided to do him a favor and pulled some strings to get him transferred to the USS Almayer as a higher rank. It would be here in the USS Almayer he would spend some years as a First Lieutenant until the Executive Officer retired, which is when he got nominated and successfully took their place.
But it wasn’t until 2182, when an incident aboard the USS Almayer regarding one of the M577 APCs caused deadly injuries on the Commanding Officer, which left the Major heavily wounded and declared braindead. Shortly after the incident, Wallick ended up being nominated to become the next Commanding Officer of the USS Almayer.
Provide a short story of your CO.
The document it’s quite big, in my opinion, but most of the information should be on the Personal Dossier, except some records.
Command Actions:
When do you believe it’s appropriate to pardon a prisoner?
A Delta SADAR Specialist accidentally detonates a grenade on the Delta Briefing room, damaging the ship but not injuring any marines. When he’s confronted by the MilPol, he’s apprehended and arrested.
Now, because the Specialist holds an important role, that doesn’t mean they’re immune to Marine Law, if they get arrested round-start and miss the first drop it’s not a big deal.
But now, let’s imagine that the Forward Operating Base is heavily compromised, OPFOR has surrounded it and they are sieging the Base, they’ve also got some kind of Armored Support. Now, if Ground Elements are running low on numbers, and have no way of countering the incoming Armored attack due to the lack of Launchers or Grenades, and the SADAR is the only chance of attempting to bring down the OPFOR Armored elements, then pardoning him is the best option, as he’s the only one that can manage to turn the tide in our favor.
I feel that pardons should really only be ever used is like how Marine Law says it, that they should be pardoned if it’s on the best interest of the Operation. Like if there’s the dire need for the arrested person, like a Squad Leader, Specialist, etcetera. And of-course, they should really only be pardoned if they didn’t intend to do the crime, and if their Prescence on the Field would definitely change the course of the operation for the better.
Something to point out is that someone’s role doesn’t have to equal to being pardoned, but it’s true that it has an effect that their role can be a definitive change in the Operation.
Give some examples of when you would or would not use pardon.
One example where I would do a pardon is the next: It’s low-pop, during briefing, the Alpha Section Lead un-intentionally has a misfire, this misfire accidentally hitting the Corporate Liaison on the chest, and the Liaison decides to press charges.
Now, the Alpha Lead is at fault for forgetting to engage their weapons safety, but let’s imagine that Alpha has no Fireteam Leads, and the SL is the only one that can properly lead the squad and have proper levels of cohesion, in that case I would pardon the Squad Lead, as it’s vital for the operation that the Section has leadership, because with no SL, the Section is like a Chicken without a head.
An example on where I would NOT use the pardon would be the next: The Operation is going midly-bad, Marine Elements have suffered casualties and we’re in the situation of needing Special Personnel that could affect if we win or lose. The Bravo Specialist is arrested in brig for Intentional Assault, they are definitely needed on the front, yet they aren’t showing signs of remorse for their actions, which if they were to be released, they would probably commit the crime again, or worse.
Seeing that they indented to do the crime in the first place, and that they show no remorse for what they’ve done and will most definitely do it again, I would not pardon the Specialist, as it could be a danger for the crew and even the outcome of the Operation.
Another example on where I would not give a pardon is the next: A Charlie Comtech begins disassembling ship parts pre-operation, with the excuse that it’s to support the operation and that the requisitions line was too long. Now, this person would most probably not regret their actions, and hence why they should do their time, even if it’s only a minor crime.
When do you believe it’s appropriate to use a Battlefield Execution?
Battlefield Executions it’s a privilege that should be reserved for very dire times, in which the situation calls for it, as BE’ing Removes someone from an entire round, hence why it shouldn’t be abused. BE’s can also affect the relation between enlisted personnel and Command, which is something that we don’t want for the morale, or the outcome of the operation.
But some examples on where a Battlefield Execution could be needed would be on these situations; First of all, an aSL begins undermining your authority and instigating people to ignore my orders, they do not refuse to stop and we’re on a very volatile situation, such as Delta Alert.
Give some examples of when you would or would not use Battlefield Execution.
Some examples of when to, or not, use the Battlefield Execution Mechanic:
So, a situation where I would BE someone; While talking with the Chief of MilPol outside of requisitions, I hear the infamous sound of an M2C being placed nearby the Requisitions line, followed by constant shooting. This would be a valid reason of BE’ng the shooter, as they’re threatening multiple lives of Marines aboard the ship.
Another example would be that im in the CiC after losing an Operation, there are no MPs nearby, and a Marine blasts in throught the door, gun in hand, saying that they’re going to end the lives of all the Command Members for causing the loss of the Operation, knowing that there are no Effectives of the MilPol and that the lives of me and members of the CiC are being threatened, I would use my right to execute the marine for credibly threatening to harm the Commanding Officer (Me, in this situation), the XO and SOs alike.
Now, some examples where I wouldn’t use it:
A Marine started firing blindly on briefing, hitting multiple Marines and even hospitalizing a few ones, but MPs apprehend the Marine. Now, since they’re under MilPol custody, I would not BE them, as they’ve already been apprehended and they’re no longer a threat to the ships operations.
Another example would be; The Corporate Liaison has been snitched on by a Marine that they were allegedly breeding Xenomorphs on their Office with illegally obtained eggs. MilPol effectuates a raid on the Office and finds the a tiny Xenomorph Hive hidden in a cell inside the Office, and he’s taken to brig and Charged Accordingly.
Now, the CL had threatened the entire ships operations, but since they’re already arrested and have no power, I wouldn’t not BE them.
