It is clear now that the “””””””squad culture”””””” as it is presently known is a joke
even deltas are cadehuggers now its unreal
most actual plays are organised around metafriends now
the recent echo incident is just a symptom of marines wanting to self organise (clearly a consequence of cm lore allowing socialists on the almayer they are already making a labor union its insane)
make squads like battlefield squads where they can be spontaneously made
Tbh im fine with this. I may love delta squad culture but the only true defining culture is that u are expected to be on the frontline if it exists, and that frontlining behavior requires no command interference. I do enjoy playing with the same players, and would miss that though.
That way we can clearly define role of squads and allow fluid movement of players into the roles they want to play. Smaller squads would lead to (hopefully) better teamwork aswell.
Could do it without sacrificing squad culture like
Alpha-1, 2, 3, “fireteams” etc. And make fireteams organized by individuals who want to team together by choice, not squad leaders. Then give every fireteam a comms channel.
The problem with teamwork rn is it’s inaccessible and hampered from an individual level. (aka you need metabuddies). This process would help you create metabuddies/battlebuddies through encouraged in-game systems.
And thus, more people get to enjoy the fun that is buddy gameplay and teamwork
shadow nerf in what way?
Makes the game more fun tbh, that’s all that matters.
