please god nerf lurker, it’s not even playing like the caste it’s meant to be
here are some issues
lurkers can kill lone marines in seconds due to how long the stun from pounce is, and if they’re new lurkers, all they have to do is hit another pounce
now, you may be saying : “oh commisar you shouldnt be going alone then lmao” but then the issue is it’s not balanced at all. when a runner chooses to engage you, you see him, he’s bright red, and clumsy. his health is lower and he needs to be more considerate. maybe this is the way its meant to be played but its a shitty way of playing.
scouts are totally fucked for 3s after decloaking, and their the ambush/recon marine, so are lurkers, but lurkers have none of the downsides for MORE BENEFITS
lurkers are way too well rounded for everything
believe it or not, lurkers can be a frontline caste to punish marines for… doing what their supposed to do. It’s not even a matter of “why u pushing alone” it’s “why u pushing” when they pounce and drag you behind a resin door to gib, cap, or otherwise just kill and your teammates dont have the firepower to kill it back
the only reason lurkers arent mentioned more is because “omg muh screech caps” but those aren’t even too too bad, you can walk away from scree and put yourself out of the area those runners are willing to risk to cap

The survivor? I was the Lurker who delimbed it, I think it was RNG since I was previously aiming the chest.
Anyway, that happened because they pushed alone outside of their barricades to try to grenade us in a corner.
Do lurkers ever do this? I can’t recall ever seeing it, I feel like 99% of the time they keep the guy in place and just go for damage. 1% of the time they try to cap (also in place) which doesn’t usually work after the nerf to lurker capping.
Yes they do and its at least as effective as a warrior lunging people. Might as well not play warrior and just play lurker as a pseudo warrior. You pretty much guarantee permas or caps if nobody stuns you, and you have more gtfo ability than a warrior does if it goes wrong, as well as being harder to spot on the opening and on misses.
This would change if they nerf lurker drag speed, but I don’t think that’ll happen. Right now you can drag a marine over an entire screen of distance before the stun wears off. Basically a pocket queen screech + runner grab and most people are sleeping on it right now.
Ravagers sure, T3 and everyone enjoys playing them so it’s fine for them to be absurdly deadly. But Lurkers? Sure I was wearing no helmet, but I had the same thing happen with my foot but I wasn’t malding enough to get a screenshot.
This is not factual, see lurker tackle chance. You can drag someone off for a bit, but without support you will lose them quickly. And unlike warrior you don’t have armor, you don’t heal from slashes, have less HP and you can’t fling a guy deeper into the lines to guarantee cap. It’s a nice utility if anything, you’d be better of with just a runner dragging away the guy you pounced.

Btw the only reason lurkers try to cap more recently is that killing has become basically useless. You kill a guy in the backline, CIC announces it the next second, 20 guys coming in and rescue the killed marine. Ever since invis CD was increased by 33% lurker is a lot weaker against groups, so you have a way harder time camping corpses. Capping is just better, especially since 2b. If you want lurker to be a killer, make killing useful.
Was drag speed unnerfed or what? That’s 6-7 tiles in less than 2 seconds, I haven’t played lurker on english CM for a while but I can only drag people 2-3 tiles on russian CM.
