If it makes you feel any better I’d say you give out medals on a regular enough basis. More importantly anytime I’ve recommended someone for a medal as a SO/ASO/XO you’ve taken the time to review it and for the most part approve it, unlike some others who are mega stingy and don’t ever give out medals because they’re lazy or whatever.
