Regarding the cloning idea, I think a good way to circumvent the “only clone robustos” part is to instead just spawn in freed mob Foxtrot ERTs.
These guys can be taken up by anyone, are first-come first-served, and are also just regular RFN.
I think it’d be a good way to implement ‘respawns’.

Hopefully I might have time to start running this kind of event, in either event I’ve not forgotten this event idea its more just a case of time constraints.

When/If I do run it though I do intend to give plenty of advance warning to its start time.

Any further ideas are appreciated, I imagine the first time will have plenty of issues to reflect on.

Im down to do it, I mostly make maps just because im turbo autistic and dont intend to actually ever do anything with them but ive got quite a bit of time in strong DMM and before i even knew what that was i was making maps in dream maker (a pain no man should bear) for a warhammer server

With that being said however it is no secret mapping is quite the time consuming task so i would like to know if this is actually going to happen or if this is just more of a hyped up wishing upon a time sort of thing

I find the removal of preds from the event chain werid. There must be a way to get them in and playing. Perhaps just let it be the random pred round chance?

It’s not that I am against any inclusion of Predators, its that due to the more competitive nature of the campaign I don’t want players to think they won or lost a round due to the influence of the Predators.

I did suggest earlier perhaps making Predators some kind of uncommon environmental hazard, or a optional secondary objective where defeating them in a out of the way location earns the winning faction some kind of reward. But I’m still cautious in either respect

Maybe make it clear which planets have preds before hand. Possibly have them as some kind of bonus challenge in the fortress worlds?

Yeah, predators seem to be a distracting feature for all sides. Random ungas running off to hunt them, random xenos shittalking and being vaporised by 9999 wrist attacks in one millisecond, plus preds hunting people and round-removing them.

I agree that if killing them actually gave a reward, I think it’d balance it out better. People try and kill them anyways, which ‘wastes’ resources, so if the reward is worth the trouble, people will think of them more as a side objective, than an annoying waste of time.
