Nerf Reinforced Walls.

Kind of tired of seeing entire sections of LZ just walled off by R-Walls that are brainless to setup and invulnerable to anything but T3. Even if multiple T3s stack up on a wall, it will take them a while to take it down and its also piss easy to repair!

There should be more thought given to FOB defence rather than simply walling off south LZ on LV or what else.

You actually can outrepair a T3 if you start repairing as soon as they start breaking (repair time is tied to damage).

they used to be unbreakable by anyone short of like the queen IIRC or unbreakable at all now theyre mostly trolling cuz a burrower can just abduct people thru them iirc

yes because walling off flanks on either lz at lv is definetly contributing to a fun gameplay experience where xenos have to repeatedly funnel into the same chokes every round instead of being able to, say, enter the robo lz from the river side which is walled off in 90% of the rounds because CTs have figured out the defence meta.

Rwalls are a foolproof way to easily secure a chokepoint, as the time it takes for a single t3 to break down the fucking wall is conveniently the same amount of time that is required for mortar to be dialed and offset at the same position to prevent said wall from being breached and turned into a flank

and of course the main, mobile castes that are designed to break defences in weakpoints that are lightly guarded are in no way capable of even dealing damage to said fortification

Reinforced walls are just so anoying to play against. Especially when some bravoid spams 20 of them, and you just get mortared or something similar just trying to get through 5 walls of reinforced walls.

If you build walls as a comtech you’re griefing anyway because you’re cutting off your own force from using it

it depends if you value sightlines>safety, if you put up walls you dont have to look out for a random runner/lesser drone just suicide slashing the cades when no ones looking

Thought if you want more contribution to the concept, make them more costly to make, but reduce the number of shit that can slash walls in general.

Its peak gameplay to spawn as lesser drone then rush to FOB and melt the cades because some engineer looked away for 10 seconds.

I’m gonna start playing ComTech and R-Walling the comms units again just because this post.

Leave a single hold with cases and a sentry pointing at the door to keep it rules legal

R-walls are a woyers favourite friend- free 1 tile choke.

Me when the marines only gotta watch one flank because a comtech made double wide r-walls on every other entrance:

real annoying to play against, especially the r-wall’d comms unit, hrm yes I shall be unable to destroy comms due to it being r-wall’d and T3’s need to be at front so we cant bring it down

Honestly can see maybe making it lil more expensive if anything useful

Are you seeing people do this? 'cause you should definitely AHelp it.

And there’s no point creating double-wide reinforced walls around the FOB: you can only repair the inside layer from the inside. Sure it takes extra time to get through the outer walls, but plasteel is the one resource you can’t scavenge and the one Req will never buy for you later in the round. You’re waaay better off just tossing up some cades behind the reinforced walls and using that plasteel to replace any walls that give way. And if you really want an extra layers of walls to serve as a warning, you could just use regular walls.

Don’t doubt somebody’s out there doing this, but it’s thankfully not common during the times I play (and I’m a Bravo ComTech main, so I’d notice). I would be livid if I found that – your cadeline is only as strong as its weakest point, and metal folding cades are ass. Plasteel is precious.

The point making it so only T3s can destroy it, comes from there actually being a 1x1 area open, but its double caded and behind it is a blueflame turret, making it so most comms areas can’t be destroyed by anything other then T3s (Specificly Rav).

they make it 1x1 big normally put double foldables, then blue flamer like rainbowstalin said. blue flames are bane of existence, normally near impossible to take down, especially as they put blue flamer in spot where burrower cant get behind it sometimes
