Fellow Corpsman players! I have a question that I’d like to ask you.
What’s your primary weapon of choice?
I personally like the M39. Solid stock, flashlight grip, reflex sight, and bayonet. It fits on the M39 rig that can carry 2 more magazines. I thought I’d like the M10, but the massive scatter was disappointing, I wish it had some sort of folding stock or armbrace option.
What’s your thoughts on the weapon you choose to bring?
Ether M39 or SU-6 Smart pistol. it depends if i am planning on being more of a combat medic or a back line medic. M39 for the combat, SU-6 for the backline. For the M39, soild stock, bayonet, magharn, laser. For the SU-6, reflex, laser and extended barrel.
Frankly i prefer the SU-6 over the M39 a good deal but the issue is i tend to have a hard time restocking on the ammo. Still the SU-6 with the mods i put on is frankly… kind of scary, ya its more or less just a worse M4A3 but the IFF on the thing, is great at putting the hurt on the queen when she pushing into the medic line.
all around great panic blasting anything that gets into the medic line, just wish i could get more ammo for it readily.
Unironically lets you top frag as HM from the sheer volume of backliners that try and assfuck you whenever they see you’re with a patient.
MK2 is a good all rounder, jack of all trades, master of none
SU-6 lets you turn off your brain completely
M39 is a suicidal unga weapon, imo it’s more for offence brained PFCs who couldn’t care less if they died or not.
M10 is unfortunately the most pathetic gun in the entire game, it’s in such a uniquely awful spot where it’s own niche is outclassed by several other weapons at once
Agrip and reflex turns it into a hugger killing machine even when single wielded and be sure to keep on burst fire otherwise it wont work. Best feeling ingame to whip out the mk2 like Clint Eastwood and blow up a hugger when it all seems over.
Also when someone tells me they lost their bayonet or drops hints that they need a bayonet i’ll just strip it off my gun and give it to them.
I spend an inordinate amount of time wielding my knife as my primary weapon. Mainly cause I give my guns away.
In all seriousness I like the M39 as an actually semi-effective weapon and because carrying two ext mags and the gun on my armor helps save space.
Like the M39, I carry the M10 from time to time as the drum mags are insane with the number of rounds you can carry. If nothing else shooting 100 bullets without reload scares off most T1s. Granted the gun as a weapon is hot garbage both in damage and accuracy but bullets are scary.
M39, underbarrel extinguisher, rail light, bayonet. I like it because the rig fits on your back and hold 2 magazines. Why waste precious storage space on ammo?
When I first started playing medic I would frequently forget to bring a gun (too much doc). Now I carry just enough to chase off backliners, because I’m unrobust as fuck. Maybe one of these days I’ll bring an M2C, give myself some more patients to work with
I prefer m39 rig with the 2 mag slots in suit slot. I take reflex, extended or bayo and agrip or vgrip, then fold the stock to fit the rig. Then 2 more mags in suit for more ammo. Good to carry 4 mags instead of 2 but cant use magnetic harness unfortunately.
Ive actually thought about using su-6 smartpistol instead but will see
Id love to have m2c on medic but unfortunately cant fit m2c on suit slot i think and ammo would be scarce then
Hell, that can even apply for warriors and defenders if they try to act up. Of course you can try to be a deranged man and slap a drum mag on a M10 but other than for the funnies you would have to be an actual psycho to use that thing.
Medic’s greatest strength is that xenos expect you to run AWAY from them, not towards them. The moment a T2 or T3 walks up, pull out the M39, load AP and WM1 them. We PFC+ now
Mk2 with mag har, solid stock, bayonet, and underbarrel shotty is my go to limited space utility weapon. 3 extended mags and ya still got 180 rounds, plus spare buckshot either in the helmet or a bible. Not the perfect gun, but good for plinking, good for clearing walls and nodes, and better odds on cutting your way out of a bug if ya get grabbed.
For loadouts without much spare real estate, this one is pretty much perfect
If you feel like a hero, or just quite literally insane, try running no weapons medic, just pure healing and recovering. It makes you an incredibly easy target, but they have to blast through your meatshields to get you, as you necromance them back up to full health in a few minutes.
Usually I would go for a sidearm(any pistol is fine) otherwise, just to have something to shoot at huggers or runners.
I used to do this, but there’s no downside to taking the m39 since the rig can fit in your suit slot where you can’t store anything else. Plus, fitting an under barrel extinguisher on there is some nice added utility, especially since it doesn’t take up any space. I usually take bayo/light just because they’re free attachies, let the marines take the others.
Plus, if your bayo gets lost, you can strip the one off your weapon, and I like to have a spare of pretty much everything.
