Reason for Ban:
Self antagging as CE, what happen is that XO (no CO that round) ordered me to deploy, i protested but eventually deployed, when i was on the ground XO ordered my arrest for not following orders, i got pissed off at him and told the MTs to destroy APCs, an APC was destroyed, but it was for training a new MT and not because i ordered it, XO thought it was me who did it anyways and despite my ban saying that i destroyed some APCs myself i never did as i was already groundside, you may ask whoever banned me, i got executed too at the end of the round
Links to previous appeals:
i have never appealed before, what do i need to put here?
i was in the wrong, but i was very pissed off at the XO for what had happened, i let my anger take the best of me, and ordered the MTs to do that, hoveover no damage was caused from my orders (the APC was welderbombed for training, admins knew we were training as they gave us sand in engineering for training the new MT) and CE being my favourite role i honestly dont know what to do at the moment, i promise i wont do this kind of stuff again, and it would be the first time i get jobbanned, and first time i do anything wrong as CE, i apologize for any sort of grammatical errors in the whole thing but english aint my first language and i struggle in my native language too.
The ban reason was:
“Banned from Chief Engineer - As the CE, an arrest was ordered for them. Instead of complying, they ordered their MT’s to sabotage the ship and engaged in sabotage themselves. they were eventually executed by the MP’s for this. This is unacceptable behaviour for a CE, and as such a job-ban will be applied.”
I am having a difficult time following your order of events. You wrote:
"[The] XO ordered me to deploy, i protested but eventually deployed, when i was on the ground XO ordered my arrest for not following orders, i got pissed off at him and told the MTs to destroy APCs"
But then you followed up with:
"An APC was destroyed, but it was for training a new MT and not because i ordered it, XO thought it was me who did it anyways and despite my ban saying that i destroyed some APCs myself i never did as i was already groundside, you may ask whoever banned me, i got executed too at the end of the round."
How are you differentiating what was destroyed because you ordered it, and what was destroyed for training purposes? Furthermore, how do you know that APCs weren’t destroyed because you ordered it? The ban note does not say you directly destroyed APCs, but that you ordered the MTs to sabotage the ship, which caused chaos.
about the training APC, the other MT told me that they’d blow up an APC for training purposes, and said it multiple times, no damage was caused from my orders as both the MTs were busy with training
i know that APCs werent destroyed because the other MT told me they didnt do anything right before execution, only 1 APC was destroyed and it was the training one, now if the MT lied is unknown to me but im inclined to believe her since she was training the other MT before that
noone listened to me and im fairly sure no damage was caused from my orders
Through my investigation of the logs, inquiring with other staff, and performing axillary searches as well, I came upon a number of concerns. First and foremost, the gravity of your actions are not alleviated by the personnel under you demonstrating good judgement and not carrying out your orders. Beyond that, however, I found some concerning discord comments which seem to pertain directly to your actions during that round.
This appeal is denied. Keep a clean record for a month and re-appeal. Also consider whether or not you even want to play the role, since the Chief Engineer is not designed to be a “fuckery” role.
