Remove flak capability from tanks.

I do not care what kind of buff tanks will recieve in return. Tanks being able to spam their shitty fullauto cannon at xenos and killing every single cap that is being draged in the process is a bullshit game mechanic, they are being rewarded for shooting xenos with being able to indirectly kill teammates who are being capped despite us having a rule that states you are not allowed to kill teammates without their consent.

By just spamming flak, they are able to mow down their own teammates without fear of administrative retaliation (uhmmm mr admin i was just shooting at xenos sorry!!!) AND they are able to deny every single cap xenos try to get, from incredible range, all the while xenos have to risk their lives by physically dragging stunned marines to cap them.

Aim? Not nessesary. You can just shoot into boiler smoke and still get caps killed by accident.

When was the last time anyone was ever banned or noted for shooting a teammate being capped? unenforceable rule. Just say “I was aiming for the xeno” and there is 0 way to know if you did it intentionally or not.

I can confirm tank is absolutely garbage apart from being a 3x3 metal block.

I got hit 2 times and my leg fell off, the fucking tank has been nerfed so much it’s no longer worth even being looked at.

At this point I’d have the transport apc over the tank for 200 pop all the way. At the very least the apc can transport troops and ammunition.

While the tank can’t do shit to T3s, and xenos don’t even fear it because they’ve whined so much that the cannon, the tank had before is no longer able to be chosen.

Like Mf the tank is supposed to be scary not a fucking toy car with weapons worst than a standard rifleman.

That is all I have to say about the nerfed tank. Bring back transport apc so I can carry marines to front.

Atuocannons IFF is fucked. Thats a problem thats gonna be fixed Soon™. The main guy taking care of the tank agreed with that as well. So this is more of a bug then anything.
The flak isnt supposed to hit marines.

And dont worry, lots of people are trying to work on the tank to make it more fun.
Currently working on sfx for it myself for example.

Can some maintainer resolve the conversation? Its literally a bug.

Asked in game, and as long as you’re being capped (and you are not in a position to be easily rescued by nearby friendlies), its free game to shoot you, and there is nothing you can do about it. I asked since i’d rather get capped then perma in some cave so I could play the game for longer.

half the weapons seem to be broken in some way. flamer should be getting buffed soon though

Ah yes. The only counter to tank being having ALL T3s being boilers and gassing it. That will surely fix the problem.

never said that. Just said that xeno’s quite litterally have the ability to have 6 boilers which can dominate the frontline with ease. Also the counter to tank is litterally walling it in or getting a crusher to body block it, it also can’t enter caves (choke hell).

Yes, but the problem with cannon tank was that you could not approach that thing without being gibbed as a non-T3 xeno. Alongside the fact you could get the artillery module which made it so you could snipe that thing a screen away. Like, I am all for buffing the existing weapon modules for the tank, since they have been left to the cobwebs. But don’t bring back the awfull cannon.

If it can gib T3’s then the damage is the issue, lower the damage and firing rate and remove the module that allows it to be a sniper? Currently its been nerfed so much and most of its weapons has been removed to the point I don’t even want to see it. If the issue with the cannon is that it gibs T3’s then the answer isn’t removing the weapon but brain storming idea’s on how to fix it so it isn’t overpowered as you say it is.

Did you not read what i said? I said it gibbed Non-T3 Xenoes. And that going against it always ment that you would just die instantly as a non-T3. Dosn’t matter if you kill it as well, since it will still have gotten its worth by gibbing all the T2s and T1s that tried fighting it.

And before you ask, you need the smaller xenoes as chaff for the tank so the T3s can actually get in on it and kill it.

Like I said, sounds like its damage output needs to be balanced out.

Yes, because thats most of what people want with it. The absurd damage and stun it has. Without it, the autocannon is essentially better with DPS.

In my opinion if you get hit by a tanks cannon shot directly I’d expect atleast a T1 to get gibbed and a T2 to go almost into crit. Obviously ammo being scarce since we’re the least funded battalion
