Command Knowledge:
How familiar are you with command positions?
I’ve played XO for a long time, i understand the layout of CIC, what each console does and what to use to communicate with ground troops effectively to best execute the plan organised by CIC, as for Groundside Commanding, I know the SL should try to communicate with both their squad and CIC at all times, they will be the ones who lead the front and help ensure their squad is working at maximum efficiency, I know what each of the squad orders do and how best to utilize them.
Hours in XO:
134.3 Hours
Hours in SL:

Character Information:
Why did your character decide to become the CO of a ship?
Lou initially joined the USCM Reserves in an effort to help support his college education, over the next four years he gradually decided to serve his country full time and decided to move from Reserves to Active duty by becoming an officer, after becoming an officer he was reassigned to MSF III and deployed to the Neroid Sector of colonized space, where he continued to serve the UA in protecting it’s allies colonies.
How did your character attain the position of CO?
After Graduating OCS and gaining the rank of Lieutenant, Lou worked his way up from the rank of 2nd Lieutenant to the rank of captain over five years, after serving under the command of Major Holland for another five years Lou was promoted to Major following Holland’s retirement from service under the recommendation of Major Holland.
Provide a short story of your CO.
Command Actions:
When do you believe it’s appropriate to pardon a prisoner?
I believe Pardons should only be used in cases where the release of the accused would best serve the operation, so I would only use pardons for personnel critical to the mission’s success , however this is not to say I would just hand them out to any spec that got arrested, the accused must at least be remorseful for their crime and understand not to break ML in the future, I also wouldn’t pardon someone arrested for a violent crime such as assault as they have directly harmed their fellow marines.
Give some examples of when you would or would not use pardon.
During preparation, the Delta Specialist gets into a fight with another marine in req line due to the other marine pushing in which ends with them escalating to a knife fight, and are promptly being arrested by the MP’s, in this case I wouldn’t pardon the specialist, as even though it is understandable why they would be angry about the marine pushing in, they shouldn’t have escalated the fight and should have instead reported the marines infraction to the MP’s or pointed out the marines actions to the req line server, instead they chose to have a small fight which has resulted in them both being brigged, I wouldn’t pardon either marine.
It’s a low pop round and there’s only one Medbay staff onboard, he’s arrested for a minor crime (such as FTFP), I would see how he acts to the MP’s, if he is being disrespectful to them and insulting them I am less likely to pardon him, then I would see if he regrets his crime and understands why it was wrong to do such a thing, if he understands why I would be more willing to pardon him, finally I would see if he’s likely to do it again, if it was just a one off then I would likely pardon him, if he was a repeat offender I would be less likely to pardon him, however if he recognizes his wrong doing and this is just a one off by him, I would pardon him.
Following the arrest of a specialist for a fight during briefing, a few marines start protesting and proclaiming they won’t deploy unless the specialist is released from MP custody, in such a case I would still refuse to pardon the specialist, as the specialist has still committed a crime, I would order the arrest of the protestors if they still refused to deploy after making my stance on the matter clear
When do you believe it’s appropriate to use a Battlefield Execution?
as BE’s are one of the few ways to ICly remove someone from a round permanently, I believe they should only be used in occasions of absolute necessity where conventional means of resolving threats to the operation (MP’s for example) are unable to, such as a CLF boarding the ship during a low pop round with no MP’s on, in which case I would BE the CLF as they are an active threat to the operation and the issue can not be resolved conventionally by MP’s.
Give some examples of when you would or would not use Battlefield Execution.
During Briefing, a Marine is being disrespectful and constantly calling the plan into question, raising a threat to the morale of the crew, undermining Command, and putting the operation at risk, now it is important to take note of who the marine is, if the marine is just a random private, then I would be unlikely to BE them, however if the Marine was say the SL of a squad, then I might, but even then I would only BE them if absolutely necessary, as in there’s no MP’s to just arrest them.
CMO comes to CIC with an idea to breed greenos for use against the groundside hive, Command denies authorization for the project, a while later it turns out that research has bred xenos onboard the ship, placing the ship’s personnel and the operation in danger, after dealing with the greenos, I would likely BE the CMO and research staff if there were no MP’s to properly secure them or if brig by xenomorphs to an extent it could not properly house them as prisoners.
