testing strategy to remove second queen for xeno somewhat reliabily

Could marine attempt to remove the ability for xeno to get a second queen by having a drone in containment and forcing him to evolve once queen is confirmed dead?(and forcing him to stay drone or he get killed…)
or would it be againt’s the rules?

His plan requires a xeno from the original hive. If you just use an egg, you make greenos or another hive.

There is no way to force him, denying a queen on the ground just sounds like griefing from the Drone if he accepts it, his life is nothing compared to the hive

if you just take an egg and plant the xeno that will burst will be from original hive.
force it to evolve to drone or else and force it to evolve to queen when queen die or else
that’s the general idea.

as for zahra comment if queen is dead he is cut off from the hive so he doesn’t know who is alive or not
so for me we enter a grey zone where you could force it to evolve to queen??(as now he is exercing free will?)
maybe not sure…
i guess queen could forbid the new larva to become a drone on the ship if they are in containment

The last time this happened, an admin turned the shipside Queen into a separate hive.

Its a novel idea but its too potentially disruptive

Good thing the drone cannot understand a thing that you say unless you say it in LOOC, which would be metagaming. So you cannot really threaten the drone to do anything you would like unless you want to hear that sweet bwoinking sound.

You can make regular xeno. You can make greeno only if you inject the egg with some chem.

You have to inject the hugged, but same same.

you can use synth to relay the orders or if i am correct research can make a drug to allow them to talk and be understood by xeno…
the post is there to think out of the box and come with smart solutions while respecting the rules of the server.

concerning steel post above i am sad the admin didn’t allow this smart move to have as much impact on the round as it should have.

i think the option should still be possible to encourage marines/xeno to think of new tactic…
maybe this would require some more rules to balance and rule on xeno RP in that scenario.

Translator chem dosn’t work that way sadly. Its a one way understanding. But the synth can actually talk back to the xeno to make it understand.

Then its just the matter on how hard that one drone wants to grief the main hive, and how the admins would respond to it if it actually happened. Either way, its too gamey to be done realisticly.

ah, my bad

prepare a containment cell. Place egg in containment cell along with a monke. Ensure MPs have access to research. Ensure queen has died. Bring synth, get synth to threaten the poor drone who pays his taxes. Watch it evolve while spamming fascinating, interesting and beautiful because HRP WY researchers onboard USCM ship. Make sure that you cade infront of shutters because it can open it.
If shutters are attempted to be open. Lock queen with manual lockdown, position MPs around east research and west of AI watch as queen attempts to escape but once she is crited synth brings her onto her weeds and synth patches up the breach. Repeat the cycle of bringing her into containment until only the queen is left. :+1:

i think players should be rewarded for being smart and try stuff.

i could see plenty of reason how hive could prevent that

probably a bunch of ruling to do for X or Y sub-scenarios…

I mean, you could easily throw the match though depending on what the drone wants to do. If the drone wants groundside xenoes to win, they will simply not evo queen. If the drone wants to gimp groundside xenoes, it will evo queen and fuck any chances for xenoes to win.

It is way too griefy to be an actual strategy.

we should let scout tacklestun xenos and pull them to almayer research

we should even give scouts a 4 tile lunge ability, and also the ability to punch and fling xenos. I think tackle spamming is too tedious tbh, so I suggest we give the scout the ability to vore xenos and carry them to research to make the process easier
