and sure enough not even 3 weeks later I now have to carry a fucking weapon repair kit on top of everything else.
you don’t need a weapon repair kit. The kit itself is a complete buff as it means that your gun doesn’t get deleted by explosions/acid anymore, instead only needing you to stand still for 10-odd seconds with a weapon repair kit and some lubricant for you to go from “welp, I gotta go beg req to send another mk2 and agrip” to “okay time to go frag more xenos”.
You don’t even need to carry the weapon repair kit yourself, as each one has 5 uses so you only need to ask around until you find someone willing to lend you one of theirs.
The real nerf is that you need to dedicate one(1) tiny item slot to lubricant to stop gun jams. WOE, THE GREAT STORAGE NERF.
Notably, your linked build does actually have a free tiny item slot for lubricant in the chestrig
Thank you for testing this. Since this is the case, tricord probably doesn’t need a capacity update, but your secondary findings on the flask giving less each time also explain a lot of why it’s felt so useful to me. I hate chip damage so much GIVE ME FULLY HEALTH GRAHHHH!!
also flare pouches are so fucking huge I like to take one on my HPR loadout because I can set up at the front with deployables and then flare for myself wherever I can’t see it’s that easy
fun fact; the nutriment in food heals brute damage at the same rate as tricord. just eat a snack if you have a few points of damage you want to get rid of.
All i am going to say, is that if you know about the whole debacle i got into… this stand point is BS, i pointed this very fact out and got hit with a form suspension… just saying.
I suggest we merge every single marine debuff and deny any\all buffs to marines henceforth, only occassionally cutting down damage on M39 and M41A, while we can all safely play as xenomorphs and live our powerfantasy of killing defenceless people, who lose limbs from two hits and to heal need to go through an actual IRL medical procedure and if the doctor fucks it up - he has to do another difficult procedure to not have a man permanently decease.
Im not really shocked at all unga went away at all. I have been waiting for it to happen, medical rework is a ongoing thing for a long time and i always thought why pill boxes got kiddo locks on them and then taking tri/bic/kelo took a while to use but not unga. Thankfully i was prepared for this, as pfc i have always been a mini medic for myself. I always have 2 stacks of splints, 2x tricord and 1 tram/bic/kelo injectors and 2 stacks of bandage. All i miss is the old med hud on eyeslot honestly, i was a cap user main.
Ive dealt with this before with xeno mains. Yes, just because you crunched the numbers and 3 shotgun buckshot PB’s kill a rav does not mean there is one recorded insistence of such a thing happening.
Unga juice has been within the practice for game for years now. If it had a massive effect, we would see healing demigods soloing entire hives while chugging backpacks of unga juice, but somehow we dont see that happening. Most of the time, the majority of marines do not partake within the unga juice, and the few that do are risky fraggers who get killed.
i’m sure one of the only ways doctors get RP as of now to groundside marines of being a dispensary of this holy medicinal slop as marines bow and beg and… what? RP?! begging for unga is actually RP
unga isn’t even that good this is just a band-aid to a problem that will likely result in “chem pls thx”, because that is definitely more RP
I never felt the need to use UNGA. B12 armor and pill packet first aid pouch is enough.
4 pills 15 units each for bica and kelo + 8 pills 15 units each of tram is not enough for you guys?
Gauze and oinment should be the primary chip damage healers. Make them fit more in stack and let it regenerate more health on applied limb.
The only real killer for this PR was classic: “Oh, this is a part of grand rework that will come in half a year maybe *wink *wink”.
Buff gauze and oinments, nerf medicine. Get rid of those shitty LRP wonder-chems like Kelotane and Bicardine, this shit doesn’t exist, it doesn’t even have a sort of weaker IRL equivalent.
Maybe add some kind of another permanent injury that doesn’t do much else other than reducing max HP on that limb. If alien slashes your skin and muscles apart, chugging some shit won’t magically regenerate it like Wolverine, but sewing it skillfully and then applying that wonderdrug? Sounds more reasonable in techno-future.
What if anyone can sew their wound, but it takes a lot of time and pain if made by another untrained undividual, takes a lot more if done alone and takes very little if done by medic? Still there is a reason to find medic, but medic isn’t completly crucial. Best of both worlds I would say, some kind of mechanic where medic is super usefull, but not necessary.
Something super soul would be to make marines into Far Cry 2 protagonists, where they heal eachother in various brutal ways, which kinda already is the case with digging out shrap with knife.
To be fair, CABAL, bonemending used to be hard to get, now you can sometimes get it at the start of the round due to the research rework making this more RNG based.
So some rounds you have literal zombie marines that never tire since they do not need to evac for anything except delimbs or being hugged.
Coping is a tried and true CM tradition and while I totally get that, if you really wanted to keep unga flasks, all you have to do is give me a compelling argument as to why it should stay. Thanks.
Give me medical staplers so i can shoot them into marines to heal their open wounds. Would be an “instant” upgrade to the sewing kit but has limited ammo or something.
